How It Feels When You Find Your Soulmate

How I found my soulmate and what it feels like when I did.

How It Feels When You Find Your Soulmate
Mia Simms

When I was in middle school, people always told me that I would never find anyone to love me. For years I thought that was true and it got me really depressed. The only person who ever encouraged me that someday my prince would come was my mom. She told me that he was out there waiting and when I found him I would know and he would treat me like a queen.

Since then I have had some boyfriends but none that would stick around. I then took a step I never thought I would take. I went on Plenty of Fish, the dating site.

When I was on the site I would talk to a couple of guys but when they asked to meet up and I said I couldn't because my mom was very protective they would be done. All except one guy.

Casey Dixon messaged me one day and we talked for a while. During this time I thought I wasn't over my ex so I told him I just wanted to be friends for a while. He said that was fine and we still talked everyday all day. After a month or so he asked me what were we doing.Something in my heart told me to give him this chance. So I went for it.

To this day I know that I made the right decision. My whole family loves him and I love him. We have been together for six months now and I still get the butterflies that I had when we first started dating.

When you find your soulmate you will feel something that you have never felt with anyone else before. You feel like there is no time at all when you are with them. You find yourself thinking of them always, and they would never do anything to hurt you. Everyone has a soulmate out there we just have to have faith and keep looking.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

These powerful lyrics remind us how much good is inside each of us and that sometimes we are too blinded by our imperfections to see the other side of the coin, to see all of that good.

Every Girl Needs To Listen To 'She Used To Be Mine' By Sara Bareilles

The song was sent to me late in the middle of the night. I was still awake enough to plug in my headphones and listen to it immediately. I always did this when my best friend sent me songs, never wasting a moment. She had sent a message with this one too, telling me it reminded her so much of both of us and what we have each been through in the past couple of months.

Zodiac wheel with signs and symbols surrounding a central sun against a starry sky.

What's your sign? It's one of the first questions some of us are asked when approached by someone in a bar, at a party or even when having lunch with some of our friends. Astrology, for centuries, has been one of the largest phenomenons out there. There's a reason why many magazines and newspapers have a horoscope page, and there's also a reason why almost every bookstore or library has a section dedicated completely to astrology. Many of us could just be curious about why some of us act differently than others and whom we will get along with best, and others may just want to see if their sign does, in fact, match their personality.

Being a good person does not depend on your religion or status in life, your race or skin color, political views or culture. It depends on how good you treat others.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
