How I Gained Killer Confidence

My Secret Weapon

How I Gained Killer Confidence

I have an underwear addiction...well, I have a Victoria's Secret PINK underwear addiction. I don't have enough money for Agent Provocateur, I'm a college student dammit! I eat A LOT of mac and cheese. Like a lot, a lot. Anyway, I digress... I have long been a strong believer that the underwear you wear has the power to make or break your day (or evening *wink* *wink*) and today I shall pass this wisdom forth unto you.

Ever since I first laid my eyes upon the beautiful PINK display that read "5/$27 undies" I knew I was done for. I firmly believe that the underwear you choose is one of the best kept secrets to boosting one's confidence. It's something that is only for you, completely up to your own discretion and imagination as there are so many colors, cuts, and patterns to choose from nowadays! Now, onto types of underwear and what they mean.

1. The Boyshorts

Old reliable. There for you with all of your coverage and period comfy needs. After a long day your bits need a break from synthetic fabrics, or tighter fits; the boyshort is the perfect 'at home' choice. They hold all of your bits and pieces without judgement in super soft, breathable cotton. And nothing helps you day to day like knowing you've got your go-to waiting for you at home!

2. Hipsters

The timid cousin of the boyshort, covering all your bits and pieces. Similar to the 'bikini' cut that we first rocked in middle school, the hipster offers all the coverage of a boyshort, but without the possibility of bunching in some tight jeans. Although they aren't exactly flirty, they are a step up from the boyshort, but still comfy as hell; and that's all that really matters, right?

3. Cheeksters

The coy flirt of the underwear realm, showing off just enough to keep you wanting more. The Cheekster is the fun step before the thong or V-string. It offers a flirty feel without all the committment of a full on thong. The Cheekster is the cute little secret that only you know, and it offers a great confidence boost on those days you need an extra push. My fave are the No-Shows!

4. Thongs

The 'going out' go to--making your cares and panty lines disappear. Remember the days when these were scary, and foreign? We're past that. The thong is the ultimate confidence boost in my arsenal. Whether it's all lace, comfy cotton, or a workout/spandex material the thong is the No.1 choice in my arsenal.

Now, I know to some I sound crazy, and that's okay. But for those of you who know what I'm talking about, you know how big of a difference the right underwear can make day to day! It's a clothing staple, and one of the best kept secrets to having killer confidence in whatever you do. So do yourself a favor, go down to PINK or Victoria's Secret, or whatever underwear/intimates store you prefer, treat yourself to a new round of underwear, and see what kind of difference the right pair can make for you.

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.

December... it's full of finals, due dates, Mariah Carey, and the holidays. It's the worst time of the year, but the best because after finals, you get to not think about classes for a month and catch up on all the sleep you lost throughout the semester. But what's worse than finals week is the last week of classes, when all the due dates you've put off can no longer be put off anymore.

Thanksgiving break is over and Christmas is just around the corner and that means, for most college students, one hellish thing — finals week. It's the one time of year in which the library becomes over populated and mental breakdowns are most frequent. There is no way to avoid it or a cure for the pain that it brings. All we can do is hunker down with our books, order some Dominos, and pray that it will all be over soon. Luckily, we are not alone in this suffering. To prove it, here are just a few of the many deranged thoughts that go through a college student's mind during finals week.

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.
