How I Feel About This Presidential Election
E & T News

Everyone knows the two infamous candidates running for POTUS; Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump. Now whoever you support...I try not to judge. However, sometimes it feels that this presidential race is an insult to our intelligence. We have the honor to chose between a candidate who is a full blown sexist and racist or we can chose the candidate who sends illegal e-mails with confidential information and lies through her teeth. Now, some of us have contemplated moving to Canada or simply not voting all together. I wish I could move to Canada, but lets be honest...we won't do that. In stressful times like these, I wish I could vote for someone who truly deserves it: Leslie Knope.

Leslie Knope knows what's truly important in life: hard work, friends and waffles . Need I say more?

Now you might not be political at all, and that's OK. You can be like Samantha from Sex and the City. You can just accept that this race for POTUS has gone down the toilet. Try to keep the glass half full like she does.

Or you can just give up on hope with the next four years all together. Because when you see open Trump supporters who believe he's "unconventional" and can "make America great again" you want to scream. You also question the sanity and the IQ of those people and want to burn every Trump sticker and sign you see.

And the thought of Hillary becoming POTUS makes you cringe because she literally lies through her teeth about her "secret" e-mails and the Benghazi terrorist attack. Not to mention her stance on gay marriage and how she "conveniently" became a supporter after the Supreme Court ruling when she was clearly against it from the beginning...

So you immediately research any other possible candidates that you could chose from...because these two candidates are just the cream of the crop. *sigh*

But then you realize that it's a slim chance that they will even win and you realize that we're doomed and you wonder what will happen to us. Will we have a giant wall? Will we ban Muslims? Will we allow a pathological liar and hypocrite to speak for us?

So you look for any other possible candidates or options...and you wonder if Lil' Sebastian can run for president.

So you hide under your blanket and pray for a miracle.

Now I don't know about you, but I plan to hide under my bed and pray for a miracle. But in all seriousness, whoever wins in this election we just need to remember that it's very difficult for a POTUS to make a significant difference in 4 years. Yes, we don't have any good candidates running but for us die-hard Sander's supporters...there's always next year.

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
