Have you always wondered how college would go? Have you asked yourself who is behind you in this huge journey?
Well, I believe that my first year of college will be different from most freshmen's first year. I'm going into college with only church members from my church behind me. It has been a rough summer for me, personally. I had to leave my house because of some situations, and the expense of college has been hard on me. But I know that I will strive to have a great year from making new friends to making good grades.
You may think that no one has your back while your going through this big change. But truly you have no idea how many people are really behind you when you truly need them. I was in a place were I thought I was all alone then, out of no where people from the University of West Alabama were helping me with all the stress about college from being in the dorms to helping me find ways to pay for college so I can become a strong independent young woman just trying to get an education and get my major as a special education teacher.
I believe that college will go by super fast, but at the same time you may never know. But I do know that I want be one of those college students that goes to all the parties. My studies are my main focus but I will make college memorable, at the same time. Many of my high school teachers have said that college is way different from high school. You have no curfew, your parents aren't there to wake you up for class and remind you to clean your room. You have to everything on your own -- including having to cook for yourself.
A change can be a good thing. The shift from high school classes to college classes won't be easy, but with a little of grit and determination. if you put your faith to it and you strive greatly, college it will be a breeze.
