There are a few things I've learned from being an engineering student:
1. It made me better at math.
Not the “solve free body diagrams and its accompanying equilibrium equation” math but the “I need a 130% on my final to pull up my grade to a C” math.
2. It made me learn the importance of having connections.
I am part of an underground past exams and textbook PDF dealing community, which has saved my GPA numerous times.
3. Social life.
Non-existent.
4. There's no time to be healthy.
Red bull, espresso and chicken over rice everyday.
5. I learned how to deal with bad grades.
After getting that first C in my class, nothing depresses me anymore because I
already died.
6. Sleep is for the weak.
Just kidding, I need a full night of sleep to function but I have learned to be content with 4 hours.
7. Everything is a physics problem.
After a few seconds I knew that compressive force in the pole and friction from the police officer walking on the wall was what kept him aloft.
