Yes hello, world. I have some breaking news for you.
There is a new album coming out on October 28.
But not just any album.
A MUSIC FOR CATS ALBUM.
Oh baby, oh baby.
Cat lovers, this is not a drill. World-known cellist David Teied has composed an album completely for cats that has combinations of calming sounds that cats will recognize, along with classical music undertones that will supposedly help calm down even the most distressed of kitties. It contains sounds that they hear as kittens, such as their mother’s purr combined with human music, so that both owner and feline can enjoy it.
Sounds crazy, right? But, studies show that neurotic and nervous cats, as well as those with a past of abuse, have had the best results with this album. Anyone who read my article about Baconface can only imagine how excited we are for this. If you don’t know what I’m talking about, go read about my anxious cat here.
The face of Neurotic.
Baconface and I aren’t the only excited ones: the Kickstarter for this thing rocketed off the charts with 10,000 backers giving $241,651. No wonder Universal Music picked it up real quick and is putting it out for sale next month! The best part? It will be FREE for shelters, as they feel shelter cats will benefit from it most and hopefully cause them to be adopted faster with their new calm cattitude.
Can we also look at the adorable names of these songs?
Track List:
1. Lolo’s Air
2. Katey Moss Catwalk
3. Tigerlili and Mimi’s Mewsical
4. Scooter Bere’s Aria
5. Simon Says
A note of caution: along with the studies done they also found out that all cats have their own critical ears just like their owners, and the music may not be for every cat taste… but I’m sure if this album takes off, there will be more genres in no time.
