Every summer there is those places that it seems like everybody is going to. From the beach to mountains, it feels like you're getting on Instagram and everybody is in the same place. Here are some of the top most popular places to be this summer of 2018.

1. The Lake

Even though it doesn't look like it's that great, I promise it is. This is my favorite lake that my family goes to in Northern Wisconsin. Nothing is better than going to the lake during the summer and boating.

2. Disney World

SO MANY PEOPLE GO TO DISNEY DURING THE SUMMER. I don't blame them. It is warm and so much fun. And the kids have off school so why not?

3. Hawaii

Why wouldn't you want to stay in the United States but go to islands surrounded by the ocean?

4. Italy

One of the most luxurious locations you can go to in the world. With the best food, the best views, and the best accommodations for hotels. This tops any other country in Europe.

5. Paris, France

One of the most magical cities. You just feel like you're in a different world here living a different lifestyle. So it is no shock that US News claims that this is the top location for summer travel.

6. Boston, MA

I can't wait to travel here in less than two weeks. According to US Travel News, this location is number three on the list because of the mild temperatures and the numerous things to see.

7. Colorado

8. Nashville, TN

I just really love Nashville and also within the past two days I've seen three of my Facebook friends taking their families here for vacation. This city is electric and it has so much to offer for sightseeing and for a living. And they have a highly acclaimed university that brings, even more, to offer for the whole family.

I need to stop myself, I'm going to put in so many unnecessary pictures of Vanderbilt and Nashville.

9. Hilton Head Island, SC

This island is rustic yet southern so you feel like you're getting the true island experience. I've seen quite a few of my friends head to this island so that they can get tan and eat superb seafood.

10. Gulf Shores, AL

This part of Alabama is known for partying during Spring Break, but during the summer it is for families and friends that want to get tan and be by the beach.

11. Destin, FL

With so many opportunities and sightseeing excursions for the whole family, it is no secret why this location has blown up within the past few years.

There you have it. Some of the highest locations for the summer of 2018.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
