A new trend has started to make a splash this summer! Adult pool floats have become incredibly popular this summer. With celebrities such as Taylor Swift and Miley Cyrus instagraming their inflatables, the trend is quickly catching on.

I personally believe that this is one of my all time favorite trends. With all of the styles of floaties that are hitting the market, it's easy to stay cool in style. Here are 11 adult pool floaties that are trending this summer.

1. The Swan

Swan floaties are adorable! They can easily fit two adults and look great for photos. They're relatively cheap for their gargantuan size. You can buy a swan floatie for $34.99 at Walmart.

2. Pizza

The pizza float is my personal favorite, but that's just my love for the food shining through. Food floaties are really trending. These floaties are great on their own or put eight of them together and have yourself an entire pie! This particular floatie costs about $42 at Urban Outfitters.

3. Donut

Another delicious float! For those of you who prefer inner tubes, these are perfect. The only drawback is they make you crave a sweet treat! These delicious tubes cost $26 at Urban Outfitters.

4. Flamingo

Similar to the swan float, these flamingos make for a fun raft to relax on. These flamingo floats come in an array of sizes, and some are in an inner tube style. These cost $48 at Urban Outfitters.

5. Ice Pop

I can just imagine enjoying a popsicle on one of these. These are perfect to recline and relax. These cool floats are $19.95 at American Eagle Outfitters.

6. Candy Noodles

These pool noodles are great if you want something small and stylish. They are sold in both Smarties and Tootsie Roll styles! You can find these delicious noodles at Walmart for $16.99.

7. Glowing Balls

These are awesome for pool parties! Their super cute and really cheap. You can choose between three colors, green, blue and pink. You can pick up one of these fun beach balls at Urban Outfitters for $10.

8. Seesaw

This pool toy is great for kids and fun for the entire family. This particular float can be found at Walmart for $56.94.

9. Drink Holders

These are the cutest thing ever! Now your drink can have a float of their own. Urban Outfitters sells a fruit set of three for $16, a donut set of four at $24, and a bird set of three for $12.

10. Log Battle Game

This is a pool game that is super fun. I have actually played this game and it's super fun to whack each other while trying to stay balanced! You can buy this game at Toy Splash for $20.25.

11. Gummy Bear

These adorable tubes are available in red and green. You can find these at Toys "R" Us for $22.49.

While there are tons more pool floats hitting the scene daily, including watermelon, pineapple, pretzels and unicorns, these are some of my favorites. You will be the life of any pool party with any of these fun inflatables!

I know every college student has daily thoughts throughout their day. Whether you're walking on campus or attending class, we always have thoughts running a mile a minute through our heads. We may be wondering why we even showed up to class because we'd rather be sleeping, or when the professor announces that we have a test and you have an immediate panic attack.

The Great Christmas Movie Debate

"A Christmas Story" is the star on top of the tree.

One staple of the Christmas season is sitting around the television watching a Christmas movie with family and friends. But of the seemingly hundreds of movies, which one is the star on the tree? Some share stories of Santa to children ("Santa Claus Is Coming to Town"), others want to spread the Christmas joy to adults ("It's a Wonderful Life"), and a select few are made to get laughs ("Elf"). All good movies, but merely ornaments on the Christmas tree of the best movies. What tops the tree is a movie that bridges the gap between these three movies, and makes it a great watch for anyone who chooses to watch it. Enter the timeless Christmas classic, "A Christmas Story." Created in 1983, this movie holds the tradition of capturing both young and old eyes for 24 straight hours on its Christmas Day marathon. It gets the most coverage out of all holiday movies, but the sheer amount of times it's on television does not make it the greatest. Why is it,
then? A Christmas Story does not try to tell the tale of a Christmas miracle or use Christmas magic to move the story. What it does do though is tell the real story of Christmas. It is relatable and brings out the unmatched excitement of children on Christmas in everyone who watches. Every one becomes a child again when they watch "A Christmas Story."

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. Here's a list of Christmas traditions that my family does, and anyone can incorporate into their family as well!

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
