5 Reasons to Listen To The Horror Virgin Podcast

This is a response to 6 Reasons I Watch Joe Rogan Podcasts And You Should Too

It seems like there is a podcast for everything these days. From true crime to tv show rewatches, there is one for everyone. Do you like the horror genre? Do you enjoy comedy? If you answered yes to either of these questions, then I have the podcast for you: The Horror Virgin. The podcast hosts include Mikey, Paige, and the titular horror virgin, Todd. Todd does not like horror movies and every week Paige and Mikey get Todd to watch and talk about horror movies. The podcast started in 2018 and episodes are released every Monday. Here are five reasons why you should check them out.

You Can Start Anywhere

As stated earlier, the show has been going on and has been releasing weekly episodes since June 2018. At the writing of this article, the 257th episode has been posted. The great thing is that you do not have to start the first-ever episode of The Exorcist. If you see a movie that you really love or hate, you can start with that one instead. You can easily bounce around.

They Tackle Serious Issues

While this is primarily a comedy podcast, sometimes serious topics come up due to the themes in the movie being discussed. The good thing is that when these issues come up, they are tackled respectfully. Especially mental health topics due to Mikey working as a mental health professional, which adds a lot of perspective to those conversations.

They Summarize The Movies Very Well

I have seen a lot of horror movies. When the trio talks about the movies, they give very accurate descriptions and summaries of the movies. They even catch and will fill you in on small details that you may have ended up missing while watching. It also will make you want to rewatch if you have already seen the movie, or start watching if you haven't seen the movie.

The Fun Facts Are Interesting

I love a good fun fact. Every episode, I look forward to Paige's fun facts (As well as Jenn's fun facts in earlier episodes). I have learned a lot of very interesting facts from the episodes and it always brings something new to the movie when I rewatch it.

It Is Easy Listening

Sometimes, you need something that is easy to listen to. The hosts recap the movies in great detail, have amazing chemistry with each other, and make jokes. Those three things are the perfect ingredients for an enjoyable, easy, entertaining listen.

Whether you're a horror lover or a horror hater, you should give The Horror Virgin a chance. It may not be for everyone but you should always try something new.

It's the most wonderful time of the year! Christmas is one of my personal favorite holidays because of the Christmas traditions my family upholds generation after generation. After talking to a few of my friends at college, I realized that a lot of them don't really have "Christmas traditions" in their family, and I want to help change that. Here's a list of Christmas traditions that my family does, and anyone can incorporate into their family as well!

It’s here; that time of year when college students turn into preschoolers again. We cry for our mothers, eat everything in sight, and whine when we don’t get our way. It’s finals, the dreaded time of the semester when we all realize we should have been paying attention in class instead of literally doing anything else but that. Everyone has to take them, and yes, unfortunately, they are inevitable. But just because they are here and inevitable does not mean they’re peaches and cream and full of rainbows. Surviving them is a must, and the following five phases are a reality for all majors from business to art, nursing to history.
