Freshman year was filled with new adventures, new opportunities and the broadening of horizons. But what's next? It's also filled with moments that could be terrifying, but in the end are incredibly rewarding. Freshman year is only one out of four years. So whats next? With August approaching, the exciting is also approaching, but the uncertainty is there to follow.

1. Keep my living space more organized.

Every college freshman enters the never ending cycle of being sick. Runny noses and scratchy throats are common in freshman dorms. Sophomore year brings the hope of ending the cycle.

2. Pick a major.

Maybe I'm alone in this, maybe I'm not. But summer internships forced me to question my choice of career, the uncertainty regarding the rest of my life is consuming my thoughts.

3. Create new friendships.

Living with new people gives me the opportunity to branch out and be social and form new friendships that I may have missed out on otherwise. College is filled with opportunities to form close bonds with your peers. I hope to take advantage of that while still maintaining the amazing friendships I formed freshman year.

4. Be positive and confident.

Now that I am comfortable and knowledgeable about my campus, I want to approach everyday with a level of confidence that comes from experience and use that to promote positivity in my everyday life.

5. Not go out every single night.

Every freshman eventually learns that you do not have to go out every single night to be happy. For me, it was finding someone who made staying in a lot more fun than going out. I'm not leaving my party days completely behind me, but school is more of a priority than tequila.

6. Prioritize.

Going off on that, during freshman year I learned that that becoming busy is easy. There are plenty of things to get involved in. With that being said, understanding that an 8 A.M. exam is more important than anything. I hope to place what is most important at the top of my list.

7. Be Independent.

Freshman year caused me to rely on my family, which is not a bad thing. However, as I grow up and mature into a sophomore I hope to develop more to eventually become a self sufficient adult.

8. Stay out of Drama.

Another thing learned freshman year was that in heat of anger, words are not spoken from the heart. I hope to just let things run their course and reevaluate if confrontation is needed.

9. Not let people walk all over me.

With that being said, know when to stand up and speak up for yourself when you are not being treated correctly

10. Do my best.

Because wasting time in college would be a shame. Its only four years, and then what?

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
