The little boy who could.

Who's 7-years-old and cute as can be? Hollis Doherty!

Hollis is a 2nd grader from Phoenix, AZ who enjoys playing sports and being active. He is a proud supporter of the Arizona Diamondbacks and can be found throwing the first pitch at a game or perhaps hanging out in the dugout with "the big boys." He is a son and a brother. And to a good friend of mine, he is one of the cutest Bible camp-goers you could ever come across.

But unfortunately, Hollis also has to be a brave little man battling Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (DIPG).

DIPG is a very rare form of childhood cancer, where a tumor is located on part of the brain stem. As Hollis's dad, Shane Doherty, puts it, this form of cancer affects the "supercomputer" of the body, responsible for many nerves and functions. Though doctors have not been able to be a source of optimism for Hollis and his family, the Doherty family remains strong in their faith.

Since his diagnosis, Hollis has begun treatment in Germany to battle this aggressive cancer. By the grace of God, his treatments have been successful thus far and the family has reported the tumor is "stable." All they ask is for the community to pray for Hollis, his treatment, and a miracle from above.

The immense support for this courageous young boy has started the movement called HOPE For Hollis. Supporters all over the country have begun to mark their hands with a green heart and "H" at its center. This serves as a symbol and reminder of solidarity, faith, support, and prayer. Together, we are praying for the miracle this amazing little guy deserves.

While the Doherty family asks for nothing but prayers and support for Hollis, a GoFundMe account has been created by the community where you can help fund Hollis's treatment. There is no donation too small to help Hollis and his family. A goal has been set at $100,000 and currently is at about $94,000. By us all making small additions to this account, we can help to ensure funding is not a matter the Doherty's will have to worry about.

Please keep Hollis and his family in your prayers. Think of him as you draw on your green heart and may each time you see this mark be a reminder of Hollis.

Share your support with the Doherty family using #HopeForHollis and wishing him the #mostbestdays. You can also join other supporters following his journey via their social media accounts (Twitter: @Hope_For_Hollis Facebook: @hopeforhollis) or HOPE for Hollis website.

I'm sure, like me, many of you received lots of gift cards over the holidays. After working retail seasonally, here are a few tips that I learned in order to make the employees at your favorite store just a little happier and not want to charge you extra on your purchase for being awful. Here are some times when you should be nicer to retail workers than you actually are!

5 Untold Struggles Of The Short Friend

I'm the Short Friend. I've been the Short Friend since about the seventh grade. I'm the one who stands in the front of the photos, gets made fun of for their height, and still shops in the kids department.

This article is not for the Almost Short Friends, i.e. the 5'3" and 5'4" Friends. No no, this is for the Actually Short Friends, i.e. the Barely Scraping 5'1" and shorter Short Friends.

11 Things All Call Center Workers Can Empathize With Better Than Anyone

This semester I started my journey as a member of my University's Alumni Outreach Team. This means a lot of things, but primarily it means that I get to make phone calls to parents and alumni two nights a week to update contact information, collect things like business cards and volunteer hours, and even ask for money.
