Help cure winter dry skin blues

Every year, winter months take a huge toll on my skin, when the harsh cold winds tend to leave my face dry and irritable. I have been searching for a moisturizer that leaves my skin feeling full, long after my inevitable day of walking to classes. I came across the idea of using honey as a face wash, and since I have very sensitive skin I decided to do my research first.

Honey has several antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties, the sticky substance is actually very nurturing to the skin. Due to its super-saturated solution, honey is full of moisture. This can be great for healing and preventing acne and curing overly dry skin.

After using honey as a face wash for a week, my skin was actually softer. I didn't need to carry a bottle of moisturizer with me all day, the honey wash itself did the trick. Red spots from previous acne scars have also subsided. I continued my usual face wash products but included the honey wash once a day, and I can confidently say I will be sticking with the honey for the remaining cold season.

Face wash:

Wet face first, then with a teaspoon sized scoop gently message the honey all over your face for a minute or so, just like how you would with soap. When finished rinse face well with cold water.

And that leaves those of us with these names in many awkward situations.

I'm an anthropology major, and I love every minute of it. I couldn't tell you why, but I guess there's just something about studying different lifestyles that absolutely fascinates me. But anthropology majors definitely have our weird sides, especially when you go to a school that is filled with mostly Business and Bio majors. But us weirdos definitely have a lot in common, specifically these 16 things.

pale girl

Everyone has insecurities, that's just a fact. You didn't ask to be born this way. You didn't ask to inherit the one trait no one else in your family has. And you definitely didn't ask to be this ghostly white. But as soon as you've learned to live with it for a while (less wrinkles later on in life, right? right???) someone has to ruin it for you. They have to flaunt they're perfectly tanned body from Spring Break and hold their sun-kissed skin against yours. But I've had enough... here are the things that perpetually pale individuals are tired of hearing.
