Finally, fall season is upon us and summer bods aren't something everyone is scramble to achieve anymore. Time for warm cookies, candy, and chocolate hot coco. Those are all the great things, but what about the cons? Well, eventually there will be cold weather, snow and Cold weather, and storms that trap you in your home. With all those cookies, and days of relaxing on the couch, you might want to consider some easy work ab outs you can do at home.

1. Flutter kicks

All you need to do it lay on the ground, hands at your side and raise your legs up and down, getting as close to the ground as possible without touching.

2. Reaching Oblique Crunch

For this exercise, lay on the ground with your knees bent, and reach your arms across your body. The left arm reaching to the right side and right arm reaches to the left side.

3. Pilates Side Hip Rises

Turn on your side and bend your knees, use one arm to hold yourself up. Move your hip up and down. Your other arm should be at your hip.

4. Russian Twist

Sit at a 45-degree angle with your knees bend and twist your upper body from side to side, with both arms at your side.

5. Toe Touch Crunches

This one is a personal favorite. It's easy and fun. For this exercise, all you need to do is lay on the ground with your feet in the air and reach up for your toes.

6. Pilates Leg Pulls Facing Down

This exercise gets a little bit harder because you're not laying on the ground, your butts up in the air. Get in somewhat of a push- up position but with your butt in the air. Raise each leg, one at a time up in the air.

7. Pilates Toe Taps

This is also another exercise I really enjoy. You lay on your back, knees bent and touch your toes to the floor.

It isn't necessary, but it is helpful if you don't have a carpet. When you find yourself trapped inside on a Sunday afternoon, and after you eat all those cookies, consider a few easy work outs you can do in your room.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
