Being out of state during the school year is not always easy, but it nevertheless adds more to the adventure that is college life.
However, now that I am done with half my undergraduate career and have returned home to Houston I would like to share some thoughts as to why I am happy to be home sweet home for the summer.
For one thing I get to spend so much more time with my family and friends within the area that I don't normally see as often during school.
Another is that after being in the cold, the heat and humidity of Houston is not a bad contrast for the next few months.
I also officially start my first job as a TA for Main Street Theater camp an experience I hope to share some stories about over the course of the summer.
Having time for summer movies of course is a huge one, especially all the action films this month (and Captain America: Civil War #TeamCap).
And then there is my youngest sister Zoe's Bat Mitzvah in July which I will save for another huge piece later this season.
After completing half my undergraduate career I feel this summer is definitely going to be rewarding.
