Picture this: Finals are over, school is out, you are home from college, summer is in full swing, you finally get to get a full eight hours of sleep. Your parents are curious people, they need to make up for the time when you were gone. These questions and statements might be too relatable.

This article was written purely out of humor. I love my 'rents

1. "Why did you go to bed so late last night?"

First of all, I went to be at 11, that's early. Second, at school, I went to bed like never.

2. "Why don't you go outside and get some fresh air?"

OK, yeah, well it's 8 a.m., did you plan on helping me drag my bed outside?

3. "No plans today? Where are all of your friends?"

First of all, once again, it is 8 a.m., they're probably all sleeping.

4. *Has same work schedule every week and goes to work at the same time each day* "You have work today? What time?"

Can't even count how many times I've gotten this one. I might start putting notifications in my mom's cell phone.

5. "It's 10 p.m.! You're just going out now?!"

If I was back at school, I'd probably just be showering and getting ready to go out, this, the time right now, is record time.

6. "When is the last time you ate all 5 food groups? You're going to get sick!"

Honestly, what even are the 5 food groups? Because all I know is

7.*Wakes up at 11 a.m., walks downstairs* "OH! Good afternoon!"

I admire the sarcasm.

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
