The aroma of grease and ketchup diffuses through the air,
And the siren song of the fast food kitchen is just too much to bear.
I hustle through the half open door to fight for my place in line.
I have never witnessed cuisine so exquisite and fine!
The burger patties flip in synch to the rhythm of my heart.
Nothing can keep my delectable meal and me apart,
Not even this congested horde of petulant customers,
Heaving heavy sighs and casting sideway glances.
The time has arrived. I have made it to the front of this throng,
And I can hear the heavens singing a sweet, harmonious song.
Every moment is one of exhilaration and anticipation!
I am ready to experience the gem of this nation!
