Times get tough, you can pretty much call it a fact. As cheesy as it sounds, life really is a roller coaster filled with ups and downs. One day may be the best day ever, and the next week could be total crap. One day, you might score well on your big mid term exam, but the next day you may get a bad grade on your well worked on essay. One day, your boss may give you an amazing raise, but the next day you have to replace all four of your tires.

All ages experience the roller coaster we call life; but, it's how we cope with our downs that matters. Will you become depressed? Will you battle the tough fight of anxiety? Will you lose yourself and what you stand for? Will you lose your faith?

I am a firm believer of the Christian faith, and that God had a purpose for every obstacle he puts in our way. We may not understand his lessons now but we will. You may be at one of those horrifying down moments of your life that feels like a never ending entrapment, but God knows the way out. He has an answer for every cry of help or when you feel like giving up.

"Nobody loves me, I just have myself."

God says call John 3:16.

"For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believe in him shall not perish but have everlasting life."

"I am so afraid..."

God says call Isaiah 41:10.

"So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God."

"I can't figure out which way to go next!"

God says call Proverbs 3:6.

"In all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight."

"I am alone, no one understands me."

God says call Deuteronomy 31:6.

"Do not be afraid or terrified because of them, for the Lord your God goes with you; he will never leave you or forsake you."

"I am worried about too many things."

God says call Mark 4:39.

"'You of little faith, why are you so afraid?' Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm."

"I am a total outcast, I have no friends."

God says call Romans 8:31.

"What, then, shall we say in response to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?"

"I can't do it, I quit!"

God says call Philippians 4:13.

"I can do all things through Christ who gives me strength."

"Life has failed me.. there is no way God exists."

God says call I Corinthians 8:6.

"Yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live."

18 Things I Want To Do Now That I'm 18

I'm technically an adult, so I'm legally required to live a little, right?

For the entirety of my high school career, I was always seen as the goody-two-shoes. I never got in trouble with a teacher, I kept stellar grades, and when I wasn't doing extracurricular activities, I was at home studying. Even when I did go out, it was usually with a bunch of fellow band geeks. The night would end before 11:00 PM and the only controversial activity would be a fight based on who unfairly won a round of Apples-to-Apples when someone else clearly had a better card (I promise I'm not still holding a grudge).

Now that I'm officially an adult, I want to pursue some new things. I want to experience life in a way that I never allowed myself to do prior to entering college. These are the years that I'm supposed to embark on a journey of self-discovery, so what better way to do that than to create a bucket list?
