Are you a Grey's Anatomy Fan? I mean, if you are in the medical field or not, this show is addictive. If you haven't seen the show, its time to jump on the binge-watching train. This show has a very good storyline that keeps you guessing.
Granted, it's a show in Hollywood and most of the stuff is non-realistic. If you haven't seen the show I am warning you now--this article can go one of two ways. It can be a spoiler alert, or it will make have the urge to start the series. For example, when Izzy was in Denny's room and she cut the Alvad wire. No one in real life would just get away with that! Especially when she was trying to get the heart and lying about it! Her judgment wasn't clear, because she was in love with him. Her judgments were based on emotional decisions. Even if she was an intern in the show, she is still an unreliable worker. She'd face some serious jail time.
The show is based out of Seattle, Washington. Seattle is a big city, but the hospital setting is unrealistic. The hospital is run by doctors. In real life the doctors don't take care of patients as they do on the show. That's a nurse's job. This is where people get to think doctors are always around. Another thing is how they like to sexualize the show. They like to get you hooked by watching the show to see who will sleep with who. Doctors especially like to get involved with their patients. In real life, we have laws to make it illegal for patients and doctors to date because it is unethical. Also in the hospital, patients have rights with legal allegations to them--if they want extraordinary measures. This is called their code status, but on the show, a patient can be DNR/DNI and they go against it more than once! And disobey their wishes. And bring patients back to life. Another big dramatization is how many non-realistic tragedies can happen in Seattle? The tragedies include sinkholes, earthquakes, and vehicle accidents. Lol.
Don't let Hollywood fool you!
