As soon as November 1st hits, holiday festivities and magic happens all around us. The countdown to Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s are posted everywhere and people are anxiously awaiting their arrivals. Here’s a list of twelve things that immediately make you get all the “Holiday Feels”:

1.Holiday Lights Are Everywhere

There is truly nothing like it when walking down a tree lined street all lit up or pulling up to a house covered in bright holiday lights. You even drive down certain streets year after year to see the same lit up homes that still prompt you to take a photo.

2. Pumpkin Galore

Everything becomes pumpkin including: Pumpkin Pie, Pumpkin Soup, Pumpkin Truffles and let's not forget our favorite Pumpkin Spiced Lattes (of course)...I mean what more could a girl want?

3. Starbucks Cups Change to Red

Not only does the cup color change, but they add a new menu with a slew of holiday drinks that include: Peppermint Mocha, Eggnog Latte, Gingerbread Latte, Holiday Spice Flat White and more..

4. Holiday Movies Are Being Streamed on Every Channel

Any chance you get to pop on the TV, some type of Holiday movie is playing. Whether it be Frosty the Snowman, "A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving", How the Grinch Stole Christmas, Home Alone or Elf. And no matter how many times you’ve seen them, you will be drawn in to watch them all again!

5. Holiday Music

Every store you walk into has you singing "Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer" or "Frosty the Snowman" for hours after you have left. Sirius XM brings the Holiday Music channel back and that means Mariah Carey and Justin Bieber’s holiday songs on full blast and repeat for the next 60 days.

6. Leaves Start to Change Color

The ground becomes blanketed in leaves of beautiful hues such as red, brown, and yellow. Which makes you feel compelled to do 2 things...Grab a bunch and toss them in the air and walk through them just to hear the rustle and crunch under your feet.

7. The Outside Temperature Drops

Time to whip out the scarves, hats and boots because as soon as it hits below sixty degrees in Texas, it’s considered COLD. So best to bundle up!

8. Christmas Pajama Sets

Not only the perfect gift to receive, but also to wear throughout the cold, winter nights.. Especially when your friends and family can wear their matching sets with you and take a million pictures of course.

9. Roaring Fireplaces

One of the best activities of the holidays is snuggling up and getting comfy in front of a big, warm fireplace. The smell of firewood and sound of the crackling wood is glorious.

10. Pillsbury Holiday Cookie Dough

The most anticipated cookies of the year are back on the shelves. The Pillsbury Holiday cookies with images of Turkeys, Snowmen, Reindeer, Christmas Trees, and more are always a favorite to bake and decorate. I like to have on a plate ready for any guests that may decide to drop by through the chimney.

11. Social Media accounts are covered in all things holiday

The feeds begin to flood with photos of the Leaves Changing Color, Snowmen, Hot Chocolate, Recipes, and all things Holiday related.

12. Everyone always thinks its too early to be talking about the Holidays

I mean it's only three days until Thanksgiving and thirty-five till Christmas... but who's counting?

In honor of Mother’s Day, I have been thinking of all the things my mom does for my family and me. Although I couldn’t write nearly all of them, here are a few things that moms do for us.

They find that shirt that’s right in front of you, but just you can’t seem to find.

10 Reasons To Thank Your Best Friend

Take the time to thank that one friend in your life you will never let go of.

Thank You on wooden blocks

1. Thank you for being the one I can always count on to be honest.

A true friend will tell you if the shirt is ugly, or at least ask to borrow it and "accidentally" burn it.

2. Thank you for accepting me for who I am.

A best friend will love you regardless of the stale french fries you left on the floor of your car, or when you had lice in 8th grade and no one wanted to talk to you.

Do as I say, not as I do.

Your eyes widen in horror as you stare at your phone. Beads of sweat begin to saturate your palm as your fingers tremble in fear. The illuminated screen reads, "Missed Call: Mom."

Growing up with strict parents, you learn that a few things go unsaid. Manners are everything. Never talk back. Do as you're told without question. Most importantly, you develop a system and catch on to these quirks that strict parents have so that you can play their game and do what you want.

"Friends" maybe didn’t have everything right or realistic all the time, but they did have enough episodes to create countless reaction GIFs and enough awesomeness to create, well, the legacy they did. Something else that is timeless, a little rough, but memorable? Living away from the comforts of home. Whether you have an apartment, a dorm, your first house, or some sort of residence that is not the house you grew up in, I’m sure you can relate to most of these!
