A lot of people may be busy studying away for finals, but Christmas is just a few days away! Well, not a few days away but it’s coming up fast! Finals are so important, but there are ways to get in the holiday spirit while still studying for finals! Here are few ways:

Create a holiday playlist

Go on Spotify or Pandora and listen to a holiday playlist while you’re studying! You can make flashcards while singing “Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer” and hopefully the playlist will but you in a cheerful mood for both the holiday season and your finals.

Order something festive from Starbucks

When you’re taking a break from studying and making a Starbucks run, try something different! A peppermint mocha coffee plays a yummy twist on regular coffee and it’s sure to put you in a happy mood and boost your productivity!

Wear an ugly Christmas sweater

When you’re studying, you may be in the routine of sweats and hoodies, but wearing a silly Christmas sweater can make you laugh at yourself and have a nice break from studying. You can make an ugly sweater or make a quick trip to a local craft store and buy one there!

Everyone celebrates Christmas in their own ways, but when you feel too busy to celebrate because you’re studying for finals, it’s time for a break! These are just three ways to get a festive feeling, but remember to just take a breather and remember…once you’re done with finals, it’s officially Christmas time!

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

April Ludgate

Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
