Look pass the Starbucks gift card and spare quarters in an average college student's wallet and you will realize it's pretty empty. Far from home, jobless, and sleep deprived most college students are clueless on what to give as holiday gifts. Little does some know that many stores offer student discounts and promotions. Just to give you a starting point for holiday shopping here are a few stores to look out for.

Alex and Ani: 10%

Ann Taylor: 15%

ASOS: 10%

Banana Republic, Athleta, Gap, Old Navy: 15%

Best Buy: ( create a best buy account for occasional deals)

Brooks Brothers: 15%

Club Monaco: 20%

Francesca's Boutique: 10%

The Frye Company: 10%

Hunter Boots: 15%

J.Crew: 15%

Kate Spade: 15%

Levis: 15% (only on specific days and must have a Unidays account)

Madewell: 15%

Steve Madden: 10%

TopShop: 10% (only on specific days and must have a Unidays account)

UGG: 10% (only on specific days and must have a Unidays account)

Under Armour: 10%

Urban Outfitters: 10% (only on specific days and must have a Unidays account)

Vineyard Vines: 15%

If there is a store you frequently shop at and is not on the above list I came up with, sign up for Unidays. Unidays is an account for undergraduate students that has weekly promotion codes for a variety of stores.

Writing a paper is never fun and is rarely rewarding. The writer's block, the page requirement, be specific, but don’t summarize, make sure you fixed any grammatical errors, did you even use spellcheck? and analyze, analyze, analyze.

Papers can be a major pain. They take up so much time and effort that by the end of the process you hate yourself and you hate the professor for making life so difficult. Questions of your existence start roaming in your mind. Am I even cut out for college if I can’t write a single paper? Am I even capable of taking care of myself if I lack the energy to open my laptop and start typing?
