Coming down from the stress of finals can be exhausting. Snuggling up and bingeing on Christmas movies is the best way to stop thinking about school and get in the holiday spirit. Here is a list of some of my favorite Christmas movies in no particular order.

1. Home Alone

I'm not sure what number they are on anymore but the original Home Alone will always have a place on a list of great holiday movies.

2. The Nightmare Before Christmas

This movie is perfect for both the people who play Christmas music as soon as Halloween is over, and those who feel like Christmas is taking over way too soon.

3. A Christmas Carol

The new Disney remake of this holiday classic might be nightmare inducing, but this traditional story can melt the heart of any Scrooge.

4. The Year Without a Santa Claus

The Heat Miser and Snow Miser are the best part of this movie. Period.

5. The Santa Clause

Everyone puts on a couple pounds during the holidays but this is a bit extreme.

6. How the Grinch Stole Christmas

I think that we can agree that no matter what level of holiday cheer we have, we've all felt like the Grinch at some point.

7. Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer

Here's to the misfits.

8. Love Actually

Apparently not intended to be a holiday movie, Love Actually is one of the best holiday romances of all time.

9. Frosty the Snowman

Infinitely better than the song, this movie shows that even snowmen have warm hearts.

10. Elf

Elf is easily my favorite Christmas movie. Most likely because Buddy is my spirit animal as soon as Thanksgiving is over.

11. A Christmas Story

We have all been Ralphie in his bunny pajamas at one point.

12. It's a Wonderful Life

Not as up beat as the rest of the movies but definitely a Christmas classic.

13. National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation

All we want for Christmas is no animals in the tree.

14. Miracle on 34th Street

So many lessons about Christmas in one movie.

15. The Polar Express

If you don't sing along, you are seriously missing out.

We don't buy into these... just like how we don't buy our friends.

Being a part of any organization undoubtedly comes with the pitfalls of being grouped into negative stereotypes, and sororities are certainly no exception. Here are the top few things, that I find at least, are some of the most irritating misconceptions that find their way into numerous conversations...

8. "The whole philanthropy thing isn't real, right?"

Well all those fundraisers and marketing should would be a waste then wouldn't they?

11 Things Summer Nannies Can Relate To

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.
