Holiday Makeup Kits for The Makeup Junkie in Your Life

Recently I’ve become really interested in makeup. This interest has led me to realize there are so many holiday kits available every year that can make the best gifts for someone in your life who is a makeup guru. While I haven’t personally been able to use any of these, I thought I’d compile a list of different holiday kits from a few well-known brands that you might be interested in buying this holiday season!

*All products listed will have links to the product at Sephora or Ulta, unless it is an exclusive item to a specific store.

Tarte

The first holiday collection I’ll be talking about is by tarte. One of the best things about this collection is the packaging. Some of the most talked about items from this collection are:

Limited-Edition Color Vibes Amazonian Clay Eyeshadow Palette – 46$

A palette with 20 eyeshadows. This can only be found at Tarte or Macys.

Triple Threat Mascara Trio – 18$

You get to try three mascaras at a better price than a full sized mascara of each.

Pretty Paintbox Collecter’s Makeup Case – 59$

This exclusive release, only in Sephora, has a variety of eyeshadows, highlighters, blush and bronzers. Plus, you get a mascara, eye liner and lip gloss!

Too Faced

The theme for Too Faced this year is Christmas in New York. They’ve created some cute sets, but I’d like to note that right now at Ulta with any 35$ purchase of Too Faced products (online, not sure about in store) you receive a FREE deluxe la crème color drenched lip cream in the shade mean girls.

Naughty Kisses & Sweet Cheeks – 36$

A set that comes with 3 separate boxes that contain one lip injection glossy lip gloss and one love flush blush. These are good for giving as gifts because they even have a to/from area on the back of each package!

Merry Macarons – 39$

Exclusive to Ulta, a set of 12 eyeshadows that includes a deluxe sized better than sex mascara!

The Chocolate Shop – 58$

Exclusive to Sephora, this is the ultimate package from the Too Faced holiday collection. First of all, this set has the cocoa infused into the 21 eye shadows included in this kit, plus there is a highlighter, bronzer and blush. In addition to all this, you receive deluxe sizes of their eye shadow primer, melted chocolate liquefied long wear lipstick and a better than sex mascara.

BareMinerals

Most of the holiday collection of BareMinerals I could only find on Ulta’s website. So all of the following products have links to Ulta!

Countdown To Gorgeous – 79$

An advent calendar to get a makeup surprise from December 1st to December 24th! Some of the surprises in this include lip glosses and eyeshadows!

Be Moxie and Merry – 26$

A 6-piece mini lip gloss set that has a good balance of light and dark pinky tones.

I think the hardest thing about going away to college is figuring out how to become an adult. Leaving a household where your parents took care of literally everything (thanks, Mom!) and suddenly becoming your own boss is overwhelming. I feel like I'm doing a pretty good job of being a grown-up, but once in awhile I do something that really makes me feel like I'm #adulting. Twenty-somethings know what I'm talking about.

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"
