In California, some parts of it, winters are not necessarily your typical run-of-the-mill, beautiful or horrid, snowy white, snow-covered Christmas card. Here, while it sometimes gets cold or windy, there are still times when the sun shines with heat and power that bakes us where we stand. So ice cream is a common treat, I guess for everyone (That hot apple pie with melting ice cream dolloped on top), but for me it’s especially special because Christmas time means Christmas flavors.
Right now in Baskin Robbins there are a few flavors that I had packed into a fresh quart of delicious, mouth-watering ice cream: (all pics in the Baskin Robbins section are from the Baskin Robbins Website)
Mint Chocolate Chip
Peppermint Bark in the Dark
Peppermint
Winter White Chocolate
Rocky Road
Egg Nog
And then there is Ben & Jerry’s: (all pics in the Ben & Jerry's section are from the Ben & Jerry's Website)
Empower Mint
Bourbon Brown Butter
Chocolate Peppermint Crunch
Mint Chocolate Chunk
On Delish, a digital media outlet of Hearst Communications, I found an article from 2014 listing 15 amazing holiday ice cream flavors and below are some of my favs: http://www.delish.com/holiday-recipes/christmas/g1430/holiday-season-ice-cream-flavors/?slide=1&thumbnails=

Now, if your mouth isn’t already watering then I am sorry but you are missing out. The nice thing about ice cream is you can make it however you want and you don’t need a machine to do it. There are so many recipes online that allow you to take a base idea and change it to your specifications and taste. You are also able to find recipes for your diet needs and make it right in your home so you know what is being put into it.
This is a no-churn vanilla ice cream from food network that allows you to be as creative and festive as you like to make the perfect Christmas ice cream for you!
