The 10 Best Holiday Dishes

We can all agree cranberries don't even make the list.

The best time of year has arrived! It smells like cinnamon everywhere, there are string lights, and I even have my tree up. One of my favorite parts of the holiday seasons is gathering for a family meal. Yes, the time spent with family is priceless. However, my family are good cooks so I love indulging in a holiday feast. Here are my rankings of holiday dishes. Feel free to use at your Friendsgivings at will.

Sweet Potato Caserole

A decent dish, but honestly, I prefer to eat my sweet potatoes salty.

Green Beans

While I am a fan of green beans normally, these usually never end up on my holiday plates.

Pumpkin Pie

A controversial opinion, I know. I could take it or leave it though.

Ham

Everyone loves a nice glazed ham.

Rolls

Yes, I'm counting bread as its' own dish. Mind your business.

Turkey

Honestly, the reason turkey made it up so high on the list is because of the leftover sandwiches you can make with it. I can see it now....

Stuffing

I love carbs so it's no surprise this dish is in the top five. I usually slather mine in gravy before enjoying

Mac and Cheese

I'm sorry but if you don't like mac and cheese I probably don't trust you.

Mashed Potatoes

WITH gravy! That is the only acceptable way.

Green Bean Casserole

I am TIRED of the holiday casserole slander! This dish is by far superior to all other holiday dishes, sorry not sorry.

It's officially December. There is less than a month of 2024, and I still feel like yesterday was summer. Now comes the merriest time of the year, the Christmas season.

Everyone has been waiting for this time of year since mid-October (which is way too early, in my opinion) or before. It's a time of love, family, memory-making, and gift-giving. A lot of times when I ask friends and family what they want, I get a lot of "I don't know" or "I don't care."
