Thanksgiving and Christmas break are either here or just around the corner for most students, and as for me, holiday breaks can be easily explained by the wise words and expressions of the Tim Allen movie series, "The Santa Clause".
1. The feeling of gaining 4 pants sizes and ruining your appearance after a week full of holiday meals and leftovers.
2. The moment you realize how empty your pockets will be once Christmas shopping has begun. Don't even get me started on the brave Black Friday go-ers.
3. My feelings exactly during my Thanksgiving food coma. Trying to even look at food at least 12 hours after makes my stomach turn.
4. The transition from 11:59 Thanksgiving night to 12:00 am the next day = Christmas overload. Music, shopping, decorations, movies, I'll just stop here; you get the point.
5. The feeling of optimism as I come back from Thanksgiving break to conquer the last 3 weeks of class before the month long winter break.
As we all head home for the much needed week of sleeping in, coffee, a full stomach and borderline too much family time, keep in mind the indirect reminders the cast of "The Santa Clause" is sending you as you finish out the last few weeks before the holiday is here.
