This week was supposed to be the week I was going to release the second part of my three part saga of the dangers of The Patriot Act, NSA and the need for whistleblowers and investigative journalists in a free and open society.
But after seeing recent news cycles, and for the first time in months sitting down and spending quality time with friends and family, I decided I'm taking that article off this week. This is supposed to be, in western culture, a time of joy and celebration, where family and friends can celebrate getting together in a time of sharing and goodwill.
In the world where it seems more difficult to keep an optimistic outlook sometimes it's important to be thankful for what we have.
I feel very fortune to have two loving and supportive parents, a caring sister, two new puppies, an amazingly talented and supportive girlfriend and an even greater support system of friends and family I can always count on.
I'm thankful to have had amazing teachers and mentors who have guided me through my path through life so far.
I'm grateful for the ability to work for so many amazing people who have only helped me further my young career and who will help me pursue my dreams of pushing to aspire for greater things, also knowing that I will always have the support of those around me.
I'm going to spend my time relaxing, listening to some jazz music and watching House Of Cards and random documentaries I find on Netflix. My current one is Best Of Enemies which is about Gore Vidal and William Buckley, which I would highly recommend to those who like politics.
But more importantly, I'm going to spend my holiday season with family and friends, and I wish everyone to have a happy holiday!
