Being a female in today's society is something that has proven to be difficult, even with the advancements made for us by women in the past. We are nearing the end of 2016, and yet a woman still has yet to make the same amount of money as a man performing the same job. In many cases, men are generally more respected than women are in more than one aspect. Women are expected to be emotional, caring, and loving at all times for no other purpose but to take care of a man and a family. Unfortunately for the people who believe this to be an accurate depiction of what a woman is, you are sadly mistaken. We are capable of so much more than providing families and well-kept households. To be a woman in today's society is to be overlooked unless you are sexually enticing to a man. To be a woman in today's society is to be seen as insecure, emotional and a hassle. To be a woman in today's society is to make 80 cents to every man's dollar for doing the exact same work.
One of our presidential candidates, Hillary Clinton, stands for all women. She stands for our rights as individuals and will help us fight the uphill battle of equality. Clinton's life work has been partly dedicated to ensuring that the rights of women across the country are protected and enforced. Our other presidential candidate, Donald Trump, has done quite the opposite. He has been witnessed bragging about all of the women he's been with and claims to be unable to stop himself from grabbing women by their vaginas. Clearly anyone who is concerned with women's rights knows who would be best to elect as our next president.
Over the past decades, our society has made great improvements in regards to women's rights. While we are clearly not 100 percent equal to men at this time, Hillary Clinton is going to fight for our rights and for ultimate equality. If Donald Trump is elected president, it will be a detrimental mistake for our country and for all of the women who inhabit it. By electing him president, we will have taken an enormous leap backward in regards to women's rights.
Again, this article is not meant to offend anyone in any way. Ultimately, it is up to every individual to determine who will be our next president. I've stated why I'm With Her. Who do you stand for?
