Many of my friends know that I am OBSESSED with astrology. A couple of years ago, I had an astrology reading from the very chic and glamorous AstroTwins from Astrostyle.com, and ever since then I’ve been reading anything on the topic I could understand more about myself and others. Every time I meet someone new, I immediately ask them their birthday so I can peg their zodiac sign. Yes, the whole “Hey baby, what’s your sign?” cliché does apply to me. You might be asking what astrology is all about, and to answer briefly: it is the study of the cosmic bodies in their planetary movements and how they affect and influence our personalities.

When a person is born, they have what’s called a natal chart or birth chart—and, as some of my friends like to call it, their “star chart”. Your birth chart is essentially a screenshot of where all the planets were at the time and location of your birth. It’s basically a cosmic tool to understand people and to “know thyself,” and it’s super freakin’ sweet. In case any of you were wondering, I’m a vivacious Sagittarius with a goal-oriented Capricorn rising sign and a diva-like Aries Moon, and I’m proud of it! (The rising sign represents the “outer” you that people see in the world, while your moon sign indicates your emotional needs, how you make decisions, and what you desire on the deepest soul level. Astrology 101 at its finest!)

However, we’re not here to talk about my astrology chart. We’re here to talk about Hillary Clinton, inarguably one of the fiercest political figures of our time. A woman who has already demonstrated her ability to handle international foreign affairs as Secretary of State, she is now on a platform to become President of the United States. Although I can appreciate Senator Bernie Sanders for his repeated calls to reform the economy and get rid of Super PACs in campaign fundraising, I’m still a true-blue Hillary fan. I want to see her eliminate the gendered pay wage gap and to provide reproductive health care access to women across the nation. I’m practically gushing with excitement!

So, what does 2016 have in store for Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign? In order to discern and make some educated predictions, I made something called a Solar Return Chart. Using a website and putting in some basic information—specifically the time of birth, place of birth, year of birth, current year, and Hillary’s 2015 birthday location—you can make a Solar Return Chart to predict a person’s personality for the coming year and get a feel for what kind of year they’ll have. Additionally, I consulted Astrostyle.com to see what planetary transits we would see happening this year. Planetary transits just reveal what zodiac signs the planets are moving through, and they can also influence the outcome of circumstances and events that are coming…and, considering the presidential election is fast approaching this November, it would be grand to know what’s coming up in the starry skies!

Enough gabbing from me. Let’s look at Hillary’s Solar Return Chart and some 2016 planetary transits, shall we?

Scorpio Sun in the 5th House (Solar Return Chart for 2016)

Hillary Clinton is a sizzling Scorpio, a sign known for its display of intense emotional strength. They’re known for being secretive, but love the attention that power and might can grant them. And let’s be honest: Hillary is a pretty bad b**ch. The 5th House rules fame and creativity, so whatever the outcome of the 2016 Presidential Elections, Hillary will DEFINITELY be getting plenty of airtime for the Democratic debates. With this boost in her personal presence, her polls will probably be favorable, perhaps even surpassing those of Bernie Sanders. Additionally, because Hillary Clinton is a Scorpio, her birthday (which is October 26th) will be smack in the middle of election season, putting her in a lucky position. When November 8th hits, it’s very likely that we may just have the first female president of the United States.

Mars in Scorpio in Hillary’s 1st House (Natal Chart, Transits)

Mars is known as the “warrior” planet, one that’s a mean, lean, tough fighting machine. It represents passion and drive and is where we can expect to garner our energy for our most valued endeavors and projects. From January 3rd to March 5th, Hillary will be getting a boatload of Mars energy, courtesy of her Sun and Rising Signs, which are both in Scorpio. On the January 17th Democratic Debate, we’ve already seen her powerfully articulate her stances on healthcare reform and gun control. Even if Bernie is leading at the moment, he better watch himself because, during this period, Hillary will be on fire!!! Even though Mars will end its sojourn of Scorpio on March 5th, it will return to this sexy sign from May 27th to June 29th when the warring planet goes retrograde (retrograde just means a planet appears to be moving backwards in the night sky).

Jupiter in Virgo in Hillary’s 10th and 11th House (Natal Chart, Transits)

Jupiter, the planet of luck, abundance, and good fortune, is currently in the health-conscious and service-oriented sign of Virgo, where it will remain until September 9th of this year. We can expect Hillary to be getting a lot of publicity and networking connections to help with fundraising her campaign. In fact, that was exactly what she did last year to celebrate her 68th birthday in 2015! According to this New York Times piece she threw the party to bring in campaign contributions from friends and supporters, with a special guest performance by RnB singer John Legend.

Will Hillary win the election? According to this young astrologer’s interpretations, she just might land the coveted position. But, even with this star-studded guidance, it’s up to Presidential-Hopeful Clinton herself to take the action that will get her the votes she needs to become the Commander-In-Chief of the U.S.A.

Taylor Swift in orange dress playing a moss-covered piano on stage with bright lights.

A three-and-a-half-hour runtime. Nine Eras. Eleven outfit changes. Three surprise songs. Zero breaks. One unforgettable evening. In the past century, no other performer has put on an electric performance quite like Taylor Swift, surpassing her fans ‘wildest dreams’. It is the reason supporters keep coming back to her shows each year. Days later, I’m still in awe of the spectacle ‘Miss Americana’ puts on every few days in a new city. And, like one of Taylor’s exes, has me smiling as I reminisce about the memories of the night we spent together.
