“The country is not ready for a female president”.
Uhm, excuse me? To say that you don’t want to vote for Hillary because you don’t agree with her position on a certain issue is one thing, but to simply say that you won’t vote for Hillary because she’s a female, well that’s just absurd.
Unfortunately, the scrutiny doesn’t stop there. People are not only saying that they won’t vote for Hillary because she’s a female, but they’re saying that they won’t vote for her because she’s a female b****.
Part of me can’t blame people who share such silly logic, because we are taught to dislike successful women, especially when the second option is a male counterpart.
It is just so astonishing to me that people perceive Hillary so much more negatively than they perceive male politicians simply because of her gender.
People call females like Hillary pushy and call males persistent. They call females conceited and call males confident. They call her by her first name and him by his last. They call Hillary a b**** and call him determined and strong minded.
Too many of Hillary’s qualities would go from being seen as negative to positive if she simply had a Y chromosome. The qualities that have made previous male presidents A+ leaders make her an unlikeable b****.
What people need to realize is that these women are not bad people, and Hillary is not wrong for the job simply because she’s a female. These women are simply fearless and fierce.
Many of the most successful, strongest, and influential women have at one point or another has been called such a name, and yes, Hillary is pushy, but how else is she going to make changes happen? No, she isn’t America’s sweetheart, but the president shouldn’t be.
If lady bosses like Hillary are deemed the ‘B’ word, then I want to be one too, because these are the females that get stuff done.
