Highlights From The 59th Grammy Awards

The 59th Grammy Awards took place on February 12, 2017 and were simply iconic. The Grammy's are usually always amazing, but this year's show took the title for best Grammy's. From the performances to James Corden throughout the entire show, it was better than I expected. Here are some of the top moments from the Grammy's in case you missed the show!

Twenty One Pilots accepted their first Grammy award while stripping.

I love Twenty One Pilots and it's not much of a secret, so when I saw the duo taking their pants off before walking on stage, I immediately busted out laughing. It was one of the funnier moments of the show, but it was also a huge accomplishment for the band.

Adele in general.

Adele opening the Grammy's was beautiful. Adele restarting her tribute to George Michael was even more beautiful. Adele dedicating her album of the year award to Beyoncé was even better.

Bruno's Prince tribute.

All I could say after his performance was wow. Tributes like this one are usually a hit or miss for me, but I think Bruno nailed this tribute and I enjoyed it so much.

Chance.

I don't listen to Chance as much as some people I know, but his music is really good and I think he's a great artist. The fact that he is an independent artist who's success is already incredible is one thing, but the fact that he won three Grammy's is something else.

There were so many more amazing moments during the Grammy Awards, but these were some of my personal favorites. Hopefully next year's Grammy's will be just as good as this year's or even better!

New year, new semester, not the same old thing. This semester will be a semester to redeem all the mistakes made in the previous five months.

1. I will wake up (sorta) on time for class.

Let's face it, last semester you woke up with enough time to brush your teeth and get to class and even then you were about 10 minutes late and rollin' in with some pretty unfortunate bed head. This semester we will set our alarms, wake up with time to get ready, and get to class on time!

And so it begins.

1. Walk in motivated and ready to rock

Camping out at the library is not for the faint of heart. You need to go in as a warrior. You usually have brought supplies (laptop, chargers, and textbooks) and sustenance (water, snacks, and blanket/sweatpants) since the battle will be for an undetermined length of time. Perhaps it is one assignment or perhaps it's four. You are motivated and prepared; you don’t doubt the assignment(s) will take time, but you know it couldn’t be that long.
