Highlighter's seem to be the biggest trend in the beauty scene this season! Be sure to check out some of my favorite new products below!

Benefit Cosmetics - Dandelion Twinkle - $29

Dandelion Twinkle is a subtle nude-pink powder highlight. This gorgeous color will be sure to look amazing on any skin tone.

Kat Von D - Alchemist Holographic Palette - $32

It is rumored, Kat spent 7 years perfecting this palette! This palette includes 4 jewel toned holographic shades (Emerald, Saphyre, Amethyst, Opal). What makes this palette really interesting are the shades can not only be used as a highlight but also on your eyes and lips!

Tarte - Rainforest of The Sea Skin Twinkle Lighting Palette Volume II - $42

I love this highlight palette because the colors are neutral and versatile for everyday use! Tarte stepped their game up with Volume II and this palette includes 4 shades; Daylight (white gold), Skylight (pearl), Spotlight (champagne), Candlelight (rose gold).

Kylie Cosmetics - Kylighters

Kylie Jenner has done it again! Last week Kylie took to Snapchat to reveal her newest 'Kylighters'! All 6 shades will drop Tuesday, February 28th at 3 PM - PST exclusively at kyliecosmetics.com. She did not mention a price, but based on the brand I would guess anywhere from $30-$40 each.

Anastasia Beverly Hills x Nicole Guerriero Glow Kit - $40

When I think highlighter I immediately think Anastasia Beverly Hills Glow Kits. Nicole Guerriero and Anastasia Beverly Hills teamed up to create this all new 6 shade glow kit. The gorgeous shades included are Kitty Kat, Forever Young, Daydream, Forever Lit, Gold Getter, and 143. Be sure to mark your calendars, the kit will launch online March 3rd and in stores March 15th!

Kevyn Aucoin - The Neo Limelight - $58

Kevyn Aucoin - an icon in the beauty industry recently released this gorgeous 3 shade ombré highlighter. A perfect combination of iridescent shades will leave your skin looking beautiful!

NARS - Banc De Sable Highlighter Palette - $49

The neutral colors in this palette are speaking to me again! Although I love experimenting with color, I am definitely more drawn to shades I can see myself in and use everyday. These highlighters are unique because they can be applied with a wet brush for a super high intense pigmentation or dry for a shimmering veil over the skin. The 3 shades included are Rivage (glistening pearl), Salé (shimmering peach champagne), Embruns (metallic rose gold).

Benefit Cosmetics - Watt's Up! Cream-to-Powder Highlighter - $30

Now I know this isn't a new product for spring but I couldn't write an article about highlighters and not include my all time favorite! What I love most is the versatility of this product, you can throw a little or a lot on depending where you're going or the time of day! Goes on cream but will finish like a powder and will leave your skin looking healthy, and beautiful!

Which new highlighter are you dying to try? Be sure to leave your thoughts and comments below!

Happy Spring! xoxo

April Ludgate
NBC Universal

Everyone who is in college right now, or has ever been, knows the struggle of pulling in the strings at the last second. It seems impossible, and you have to do a LOT of things in order to assure your future for the next semester.

April Ludgate, historically, is a very annoyed person, and she doesn't hide it. Of all the times that I binged and re-binged "Parks and Rec," her attitude relates more and more to me.

To The Cheerful Person On Their Rainy Days, You Are Valid

The world is not always sunshine and rainbows, and you do not have to be, either.

Ask friends of mine to name a quality about me, and one a lot them will point out the fact that I am almost always smiling. I like to laugh and smile -- not to quote Buddy the Elf in April, but smiling is my favorite! It is probably my favorite go-to expression. However, what a lot of people do not see is that I have my down days. I have days when smiling and laughing is a real struggle, or when I have so much on my plate that going out of my way to behappy takes more effort than I have stored in me. Be it a symptom of college and growing up or a facet of life, I cannot always be content.

Amidst my hectic college career, I always find time for one thing, even on the busiest weeks: Parks and Recreation. This show has made me laugh and has made me cry, but most of all I have related to this show more than I would like to admit.
