For many senior high school students in the United States, this is the home stretch. There are only a few more weeks left until graduation.

This also means a multitude of banquets, ceremonies and the stress of the dreaded finals. For most students, this is a very overwhelming time, but here are a few tips for staying sane during these last few weeks!

1. Stay organized.

The only way to survive this crazy time of year is to stay organized. Maintain your calendar! Keep stock of all of the events in the coming weeks as it will make the end of your senior year all the more enjoyable. Color code for class related happenings, banquets and ceremonies. It will make everything easier for you to handle!

2. Set aside time for yourself.

At such a stressful time of year, it is essential to get some beauty sleep and time alone. Do not spend all of your time partying or jamming facts for your biology final into your memory! Take some time and take a nap, read a leisure book or take a relaxing bubble bath. It does not have to be a long amount of time, but as long as you take at least 10 minutes out of your busy schedule to just relax, you will survive the end of high school.

3. Remember to have fun!

These last few weeks may be quite stressful, but make sure to have some fun! These are your last few weeks of high school -- weeks that you will never get back. It is very important to make the most of your high school career while you are able to. Just remember to work hard and play hard!

I remember my freshman year oh so well. I remember feeling terrified the night before orientation. The one thing that I dreaded the most was not the new people, the new environment, or even the academic pressure. I was dreading having to talk to sorority girls about Recruitment. I remember cutting off and avoiding any Rho Gamma/Panhellenic Officer that came my way during First Week. I looked at them like they had asked me to cut my arm off whenever they asked me if I wanted to rush. To be honest, I did not even know what rush was, but I knew that I did NOT want to be a part of it. To me, it was dumb. It was a waste of money. It was a waste of my time.

And guess what? I did not rush my freshman year. I spent the first half of my freshman year isolating myself from everyone on campus. I spent all of my time in the library, and then (since I was a commuter) went back home once my work was finished.
