Do not get me wrong, I love college and everything it has brought me. I really am happy to have moved on from high school. However, lately I have been looking back on high school, senior year especially, and remembering all of the fun times that I had.

In particular, football games.

The cheers, chants, and screaming that took place in the student section was definitely something else. Senior year was the best time for it all, being up close and cheering so loud until you basically had no voice. The themes of each game were one of the best parts, and we all went full out.

So many other parts of senior year were so fun and definitely were the best parts of my high school career. The classes were actually interesting (for the most part of course). If you know me you know my LOVE for psychology, and that all started when I took it my senior year.

Best. Class. Ever.

I am not kidding the information is so captivating. Learning about the way you think and learning about why you act the way you do and using your brain to do that, it is literally the coolest thing. If I could go back to high school for just one class, that would hands down be the one.

Another amazing part of high school was simply the comfort. Having a specific routine every day that I was so used to was something that I took for granted. Being in college, every day is different, which is also fun and I love it just as much if not more. I would say having the freedom in college in 100% better, but the familiarity of high school is a feeling that can never be replaced.

High school is a small four-year blurb in the grand scheme of things, but it is an impactful four years. It prepared me for the workload of college (thanks, Adlai you rock), which I have it to thank.

While loving college, I forget that I actually did enjoy most of high school. I always loved seeing people in the halls. A seven-hour school day seemed like absolutely nothing at the time. So many little things that high school had to offer are things that I am just now realizing I really did love. Yes, high school did cause me a lot of stress, but I would not change one thing about my experience.

We go through every stage in our lives for a reason, and I can confidently say that my high school stage perfectly prepared me for the even better college stage that I am in right now.

As college students, we are all familiar with the horror show that is course registration week. Whether you are an incoming freshman or selecting classes for your last semester, I am certain that you can relate to how traumatic this can be.

1. When course schedules are released and you have a conflict between two required classes.

Bonus points if it is more than two.

Raising the minimum wage to a livable wage would not only benefit workers and their families, it would also have positive impacts on the economy and society. Studies have shown that by increasing the minimum wage, poverty and inequality can be reduced by enabling workers to meet their basic needs and reducing income disparities.

I come from a low-income family. A family, like many others in the United States, which has lived paycheck to paycheck. My family and other families in my community have been trying to make ends meet by living on the minimum wage. We are proof that it doesn't work.

As an English Major in college, I have a lot of writing and especially creative writing pieces that I work on throughout the semester and sometimes, I'll find it hard to get the motivation to type a few pages and the thought process that goes behind it. Every college student knows and understands the struggle of forcing themselves to continue to care about school. Between the piles of homework, the hours of studying and the painfully long lectures, the desire to dropout is something that is constantly weighing on each and every one of us, but the glimmer of hope at the end of the tunnel helps to keep us motivated. While we are somehow managing to stay enrolled and (semi) alert, that does not mean that our inner-demons aren't telling us otherwise, and who is better to explain inner-demons than the beloved April Ludgate herself? Because of her dark-spirit and lack of filter, April has successfully been able to describe the emotional roller-coaster that is college on at least 13 different occasions and here they are.
