Hi there! I just wanted give y’all a heads up and tell you that I’m going to be doing this a lot more often, so I figured it’d be best to let me introduce myself and tell you what’s going on!
My name is Natalie Haworth and I am from Weatherford, Oklahoma. I am a student at Southwestern Oklahoma State University, also in Weatherford. I will be a senior in the fall and plan to move onto PA school once I’ve graduated. I am a cheerleader, involved in our student government and work on campus in the Admissions and Recruitment office (A&R). As you can see, my love for SWOSU runs deep, and I could not be more proud of our outstanding university.
I have just recently become a content creator for the SWOSU Odyssey Community. Although our institution be small, the students within are mighty. Several of my peers and I have gotten this amazing opportunity to write for Odyssey! I cannot wait to see where this new journey takes us!
To describe what Odyssey is, and in the best way, I’ve taken an excerpt from the application site:
“Odyssey is a social content platform that discovers and shares a chorus of millennial voices, organically though socially media. Odyssey empowers communities eager to be heard and audiences eager to listen”.
Again, that is just a small excerpt of what Odyssey is, and it does not capture the impact it has and can have in the future on the younger generations.
Like I mentioned before, this is a brand new experience for me, so bear with me if I’m a little shaky at first. However, I am stoked to be able to share not only my perspective, but also of those in my circle, on any and everything in the world, with each and every one of you!
My goal is to be genuine and completely transparent with my audience, so that they know I can relate. I am open to any and all ideas that are thrown my way. Also, know that all ideas are safe. There will be no judgement. I will be the mouthpiece for those who don’t have the words. Friends and family: I ask that you join me on this totally new and totally exciting adventure I am about take on, and together, I really and truly believe we can make a difference.
Peace and blessings,
Nat
