Jeffree Star has quickly become a mogul in the makeup community. From the liquid lipsticks, to the highlighters, he has made himself somewhat of a household name...but the real question it, is it for the right reasons?
Just last week, Jeffree Star came under fire for using "blackface" one one of his models, popular beauty vlogger "Nikita Dragon" for the photoshoot for his new Androgyny eyeshadow palette.
The photo on the left, is of Nikita during the Androgyny photoshoot, while the picture on the right is during one of her many Youtube videos on her channel. The difference is blatantly obvious, and also excessive.
Now, this isn't Jeffree Star's first run at being under fire for racism, etc. About 10 years ago, Jeffree uploaded a video to his Myspace page, which contains another person in blackface. In this video, he says that he wants to throw battery acid on an African American woman, to lighten her face to it matches her foundation.
Jeffree...honey...
