Today marks the day I turn 19. 19 years since I sat on top of my dad's shoulders thinking it was the highest place in the world. 19 years of having one of my biggest supporters walking with step by step, when I feel and when I was flying.

Up until recently I would visit my dad on weekends but then I made the decision to live with him full time. I've loved every single minute of it. Lately my dad has been my rock and for that, I can never find the right words to say thank you.

My 19th birthday is a pretty weird and exciting time but I think this one is so special because I'm surround by such amazing people but I'm really looking forward to having a super fun dinner with my dad and step mom.

And even the moment I left for college, my dad was there all the time telling me I'll be okay, letting me know that I was going to have so much fun and soar the minute I started my semester; and he was right. I've loved every minute despite some bumps in the road.

Lately I've been thinking a lot and of course I always called my dad for help. He gives me the best advice that not only has a father quality but also as a person who I can to anything for. I think this year, the best birthday present I got was the relationship I've built with my dad. So dad, thank you for the best birthday gift, I love you.

We are all born to do something great. Whether that be to grow up and become a doctor and save the lives of thousands of people, run a marathon, win the Noble Peace Prize, or be the greatest mother or father for your own future children one day. Regardless, we are all born with a purpose. But in between birth and death lies a path that life paves for us; a path that we must fill with something that gives our lives meaning.
