In life, we all have our best friends: high school, college, roommate, coworker and etc. My best friend just so happens to be my boyfriend. I have always heard or seen in movies that our boyfriends should be our best friends. I thought that was just so obscured that the guy I was dating would end up being my best friend. Sometimes in life, we get very lucky and get the chance to meet someone who you feel completely yourself around, and that person is the guy you're dating.

I saw it happen in a few of my friends' relationships, but it had never been in any of my past relationships. In a million years, I would have never thought that I would tell all my secrets, eat a pint of ice cream with, go shopping for hours with or not wear makeup in front of my boyfriend. My boyfriend is the first person I tell my good or bad news to. I look to him for advice most of the time because he has the best interest for me. He does not judge me when I eat way too many tacos at the local Mexican restaurant at because he has probably eaten that many too.
I always wondered why my boyfriend was not my best friend like my friends' boyfriends, I then realized it was because I wasn't dating the right person. Dating the right person makes a world of a difference. There aren't stupid reasons why he didn't text you back 12 hours later, because the right one actually wants to talk to you. The right person will make the effort even on the bad days. Plus, a best friend would not communicate with you.
It's an amazing feeling to have when your boyfriend is your best friend. It's almost like you've known them your entire life yet you've only been with them for a short time. It is so easy being in the relationship because the base of the relationship started off as a friendship. Nothing is hidden from your significant other because they know everything about you yet they still love you.
I could not be more blessed to be dating the guy I also call my best friend. I love that I can be myself around him all the time especially when I go to dinner and eat the double cheese burger and fries plus the ice cream on the way home. Being able to stay up and spill the latest gossip with him even though he probably does not care, but he loves you. The ability to be with this person is one of the best feelings in the world because not a lot of people get the chance to say that they are dating their best friend and truly meant it.
