Continually I enter these places unknown
With my spirit, again, swiftly battered
Where toil was great yet reward is not shown
My efforts simply no longer matter
You see now beloved, efforts here are quite callous
If rooted lies something infected
The world is justified through pain and malice
Yet, a greater meaning I have detected
Not you, not me, for we are no different
For mere men we were given a surplus
But there is one who conquers all our malignance
And with that yields a newfangled purpose
Sorrow will no longer find me in shambles
With this one, the hero, at my side
Many may say I took quite the gamble
Yet I would take it again with great pride
