Tomi Lahren, I want to ask you a question. A few questions, for that matter. You seem educated, so I’m sure you’re familiar with the main questions that we ask in the world.
Who, what, when, where, and why-––I'm curious as to your answers.
WHO decided that it was up to you to speak to the public of the world in the manner that you do? No, no, speak is the wrong word. That’s not what you do, is it? See, you’re given a microphone that’s clipped to the top of the pretty dress that you’re wearing that’s plenty close to your mouth but you still feel the need to yell. Was that your idea, Tomi? Are you able to take responsibility for your actions and how you present yourself? Who did this to you, Tomi? Or is it just you?
WHAT makes you think that your words are going to be okay? Do you speak in the moment, make it up right there on the spot or do you let your words stew around in your mind to make it seem as scary and negative as possible? What is it that makes you so angry, Tomi? Do you feel betrayed by the people that are citizens of this country? While you feel betrayed by some, they probably feel betrayed too. Some feel the need to sit or kneel during the national anthem not because they’re gay, lesbian, black, white, but because the country that they’re living in, the country that once stood behind them seems to be backing away from what they stand for. So what is it that you feel Tomi? Or should I just watch another three minute video?
WHEN was it that you decided that this is what you wanted to do? When did you decide that instead of adding positive opinions and light to the republican party, you would spread hate and the most negative side of things that you could possibly find? Was it when you read all the positive responses you were getting from people? It’s kind of an interesting cycle, isn’t it? Negativity gains comments that are filled with positivity. Does it make you feel good, Tomi?
WHERE in your life were you when you realized that this is who you are? Has that happened yet, Tomi? Have you really decided that you want to be the woman who exudes negative energy through her teeth and out the speaker of my iPhone? Where were you, Tomi? Where are you now? Is this really you?
WHY. Why, Tomi? Why would you do this, of all things? You do debate well, I will give you that my dear. You could have been a lawyer defending someone or saving someone from something. You could have done so much instead of this. Why do you feel as though this is what you were meant to do? Why do you hate so much and so many people? Why are you the way you are? I suppose that’s an unfair question for me to ask, but then again you’re all about unfair questions, aren’t you?
So here’s to you, Tomi Lahren. Thank you for confirming what I already knew. There is hate behind beauty, there is still work that still needs to be done in this country, and that I am not a republican. Those are my final thoughts.
