Heres Why Fall is the Best Season Ever

Goodbye Humidity, I won't miss you

With the weather cooling down this labor day weekend, I am ready to say goodbye to summer and hello to my favorite season. While it is sad to see the pools closing, fall has so many things to make up for it. Here is why fall is the greatest season ever.

1. The Cool weather

Summers great, don't get me wrong. I love summer too. But I'm tired of sweating. And hiding in the house due to the humidity is not how I like to spend my summer days. Fall is the relief from those very hot and sticky days. You're able to open the windows and enjoy the cool air.

2. The Clothes

There's hoodies, and leggings, and comfy sweaters. Boots, and scarves, and flannels. Fall clothes are really cozy and warm. The color scheme of fall is the cherry on top of it all- taupes, maroons, mustards, clays, browns. Nothing beats the fall color scheme.

3. Pumpkin Picking & Carving

One of my favorite activities of the fall is pumpkin picking. Who doesn't love to get on a wagon, drive out to a field, and be super picky about which pumpkin to choose. What makes the experience even more fun is browsing through the shops some pumpkin patches have that also offer apple cider and hot chocolate. And once home, trying to find a design to carve into your pumpkin is even harder. With so many options how do you decide?

4. Just Pumpkin Everything

It's not just about the pumpkin picking, it's about pumpkin flavored everything. You know it's fall when the pumpkin spiced latte hits Starbucks menu. And this fall season, Starbucks is introducing a new fall drink called the chile mocha. But the pumpkin doesn't stop there. There's pumpkin pie pop-tarts, pumpkin spice m&ms, pumpkin spice Oreos, Ben and Jerry's Pumpkin cheesecake ice cream, if you can think of it, it probably comes in a pumpkin flavor. Theres even pumpkin scented candles, lotions, and fragrances.

5. Halloween

Halloween is one of my favorite seasons. From its scares, and haunts to trick-or-treating for candy, Halloween has something for everyone. I strongly believe that you're never to old to dress up! Target's Halloween section makes it's appearance and offers all kinds of cute decor and costumes. Halloween stores pop up just about everywhere and stores such as bath and body works premiere there halloween edition merchandise.

6. Corn Mazes

Whether it's a flash light corn maze, a family friendly one, or a haunted corn maze, they are all amazing. My favorite corn maze to go to is Cherry Crest Adventure Farm located in Ronks, PA. Each year, the maze has a different design and there are different levels of difficulty to choose from. My group thought we could conquer the hardest level without a problem and we spent next to 45 minutes going in a giant circle.

7. The leaves change color

Pennsylvania is always beautiful, but one of the most beautiful things to see is the leaves changing color. It seems to happen over night and before you realize it, they're all red, yellow, and orange.

I've been super busy lately with school work, studying, etc. Besides the fact that I do nothing but AP chemistry and AP economics, I constantly think of stupid questions that are almost impossible to answer. So, maybe you could answer them for me, and if not then we can both wonder what the answers to these 15 questions could be.

From sea to shining sea, the United States was uniquely positioned for an incredible Aurora Borealis display on Thursday, Oct. 10, 2024, going into Friday, Oct. 11.

It was the second time this year after an historic geomagnetic storm in May 2024. Those Northern Lights were visible in Europe and North America, just like this latest rendition.

To My Loving Boyfriend,

  • Thank you for all that you do for me
  • Thank you for working through disagreements with me
  • Thank you for always supporting me
  • I appreciate you more than words can express
  • You have helped me grow and become a better person
  • I can't wait to see where life takes us next
  • I promise to cherish every moment with you
  • Thank you for being my best friend and confidante
  • I love you and everything you do

To start off, here's something I don't say nearly enough: thank you. Thank you, thank you, thank you from the bottom of my heart. You do so much for me that I can't even put into words how much I appreciate everything you do - and have done - for me over the course of our relationship so far. While every couple has their fair share of tiffs and disagreements, thank you for getting through all of them with me and making us a better couple at the other end. With any argument, we don't just throw in the towel and say we're done, but we work towards a solution that puts us in a greater place each day. Thank you for always working with me and never giving up on us.

Because no one ever really leaves.

Ah, yes, good old Hauppauge. We are that town in the dead center of Long Island that barely anyone knows how to pronounce unless they're from the town itself or live in a nearby area. Hauppauge is home to people of all kinds. We always have new families joining the community but honestly, the majority of the town is filled with people who never leave (high school alumni) and elders who have raised their kids here. Around the town, there are some just some landmarks and places that only the people of Hauppauge will ever understand the importance or even the annoyance of.
