Dear Mom

Here's To My Best Friend
Tori Hatfield

MOM. I feel so much comfort in those three letters, because the love of a mother is one thing that never fades away.

1. I love you!

Most importantly, I want you to know I love you. Thank you for always loving me unconditionally. As you would say, LYAFNMW (love you always and forever no matter what).

2. You're my role model.

When most people think of a role model, they name off the biggest pop star or the new celebrity, but you are my role model. If one day I can be at least half the woman you are,I will be perfectly content with my life. Thank you for always setting the best example to look up to.

3.You taught me to never be selfish.

As I have watched you through every aspect of life, you never once have been selfish. You have always made sure I had everything I needed and always made sure you provided for your family.

4. You have taught me to set goals and achieve them.

From watching you,you have always set goals and never stopped until you achieved them. I have watched you achieve all of your goals you have set. Thank you for always showing me I can do anything I set my mind to.

5. You have taught me to always smile.

Even when you get discouraged, you always smile through it. You always show your strength through any and every situation and I admire that about you.

6.You taught me to care about family and show th unconditional love all the time.

No matter how far away you are from your family, you always make sure you keep in touch with them. You have always been a family person.

7. You have taught me to have compassion.

Ever since I can remember, you have always taught me to have compassion. You have always taught me to give to others, and you will get greater in return. Thank you for leading by example and teaching me to always show compassion.

8. You have taught me to always keep God first!

This is the most important one to me for sure. Thank you for raising me in church, teaching me to love Christ and love people, and showing me how much you love Christ. You havw always made sure I knew that my faith was most important in life, and with that knowledge, I know I am capable of going far in the crazy world.

Thank you for loving me and raising me to the young woman I am today. I'm forever grateful God sent me a mother as loving and gentle as you!

7 Ways to Make Your Language More Transgender and Nonbinary Inclusive

With more people becoming aware of transgender and non-binary people, there have been a lot of questions circulating online and elsewhere about how to be more inclusive. Language is very important in making a space safer for trans and non-binary individuals. With language, there is an established and built-in measure of whether a place could be safe or unsafe. If the wrong language is used, the place is unsafe and shows a lack of education on trans and non-binary issues. With the right language and education, there can be more safe spaces for trans and non-binary people to exist without feeling the need to hide their identities or feel threatened for merely existing.

singing
Cambio

Singing is something I do all day, every day. It doesn't matter where I am or who's around. If I feel like singing, I'm going to. It's probably annoying sometimes, but I don't care -- I love to sing! If I'm not singing, I'm probably humming, sometimes without even realizing it. So as someone who loves to sing, these are some of the feelings and thoughts I have probably almost every day.
