Here's To My College Best Friends

Here's To My College Best Friends

Dear college best friends,

First off, how the heck did I go 18 years without knowing you all? Isn't it strange to think that in just 9 months of meeting new people in a new place, I have actually met better quality friends than most of the people I knew for 18 years back home? (To my best friends at home- I love you all, I'll write about you soon). My transition to college and into Greek life wouldn't have been the same without you all by my side to guide me. The memories we've made together our freshman year at Michigan State are memories that I could never thank you guys enough for. You all are my sisters, mentors, supporters, tutors, and most importantly, the sole reason my diet fails over and over again.

Thank you for helping me avoid awkward situations by responding ASAP rocky to my texts in the group chat no matter what time of the day.

Thank you for coming from different parts of the U.S. so that I always have someone to talk to until ungodly hours, because of the time zones.

Thank you for allowing me to one day have the biggest wedding party ever because 11+ bridesmaids will be by my side.

Thank you for supporting my McDonald's addiction and encouraging me to go for the Big Mac with a side of nuggets always, instead of just the junior cheeseburger.

Thank you for not making fun of me when I tell you that I ran only 0.80 miles and stopped because I got too tired.

Thank you for splitting Ubers with me so I don't have to ask my dad for more money…AGAIN.

Thanks for always dragging me away from boys who do not deserve my time or attention when we go out.

Thanks for always being my personal WebMD's after the cold medicine incident of spring 2015.

Thank you for always riding the CATA bus home with me after a night out and reminding me at 1:50 A.M. that we better get outside to catch the last 2 A.M. bus.

Thank you for not kicking me out of the limo for formal after I added the childhood torment song, “Crazy Frog" to the playlist on the way to the club.

Thank you for always being my good morning text and goodnight texts since I clearly don't have a boy to do that for me (lol).

Thank you for knowing which songs to play for me to boost my mood whenever and wherever (IDFWU/Fergalicious).

Though amazing friends at home surround me, I can't help but to count down the days until we're all together again back in East Lansing. There isn't anyone else in the world I would fake cry to on the phone in order to get her out of a sticky situation. Literally. There is no one else in the world that I would want to live with for the rest of our college years. Most importantly, there is no one else in the world I would rather share letters with than you guys. Thanks for being my go-to girls that make college unforgettable. If people say I am paying for my friends because of my sorority, then let them say that. However, no amount of money could buy me what these girls have given me in the past 9 months of knowing them.

Thank you for being the illest and trillest of them all. I couldn't do life without you all. TLAM.
