Colleen Hoover makes me go through every single emotion possible in the only 300 pages, give or take.
She is so far my favorite author (I think she has been my favorite author for the past few years). One day I went into a Barnes & Noble store and found one of her books and I’ve been hooked ever since. You know how people say that books are better than reality? I assure you her books are. They make you believe anything and everything is possible. Her connections, twists and cliff hangers wont let you go to bed even if you want to. All you will be thinking about are the characters that you can relate with so well and what will end up happening to them.
On my last Barnes & Noble trip two weeks ago I bought three books by her, and I already devoured two so I am trying to pace myself on the last one and enjoy every single page of it. Granted these books might be more for girls since they are full of romance and drama, but if you are just looking for a great writer you need to read her books.
The way she describes the characters, the scenery and what they are thinking transports you to a different world in which you are right there with the characters through everything they are going through. As dumb as it sounds you can get so invested with some of her characters that whatever happens to them it seems like it is happening to you. They are so good that I have re-read a couple of them (multiple times) because I just can't get enough. Anyway, after all that I will leave some titles in here that you should definitely go get if you are looking for some summer reading. It will make your summer 100 percent better, guaranteed.
1. Confess
This is my favorite book so far. I don't want to make any disclaimers so all I will say is that one person’s confession can make for unbelievable paintings.
2. Ugly Love
A rougher book full of passion, disappointments, regrets and love.
3. Hopeless
Amazing book about a lost girl, Sky, who is not lost at all, but she just doesn't know it yet.
4. Losing Hope
Book number two of the "Hopeless" series. Focuses on the POV of Dean Holder, one of the main characters of "Hopeless."
5. Maybe Someday
Hoover connects music, obstacles, challenges and love exquisitely. This book makes you remember that a broken heart is not the end of the world because there is someone out there for everybody.
6. Maybe Not
This book focuses on the story of the secondary characters of "Maybe Someday." It is a shorter read and a little bit different from her usual writing style but still a great book.
7. November 9
This book will make you want to ugly cry, happy cry, scream of happiness, laugh, ugly cry again, break down sobbing and finally break your heart with so much love. It is thrilling, moving and tear-jerking.
And those are all the ones I can tell you abut because I still haven't read all of them, but rest assured that I will write about Colleen Hoover and her magic with words again. If there is one thing that should be on your bucket list for this summer, it is one of her books. Just try it out, you can thank me later.
