Feeling a little lost? We all do at some point.

1. "Everything's not lost" by Coldplay

Most relatable lines: "When I counted up my demons, saw there was one for everyday. With the good ones on my shoulder, I drove the other ones away"

Coldplay is great to listen to at anytime, especially when it seems like the world is crashing down on you. "Everything's not lost" isn't one of their most popular songs like "Fix You" or "The Scientist" (which are both amazing as well) but it makes you feel as if you're not alone and to remember the positives in life.

2. "Someday" by The Strokes

Most relatable lines: "Yeah I think ill be alright. I'm working so I won't have to try so hard. Tables they turn sometimes"

If you haven't listened to this song by The Strokes yet, look it up on Spotify right now. This song is such a classic and is perfect for when you're feeling that all of your hard work is going to waste. Musically, this song is a headbanger and you'll catch yourself singing it for days afterwards.

3. "Amsterdam" by Imagine Dragons

Most relatable lines: "You're time will come, if you wait for it"

Imagine Dragons have amazing songs like "Thunder" and "It's Time" but this song from their breakthrough album is definitely a song worth listening to. Not only is the music itself amazing but the lyrics are so powerful, especially if you're in a phase where you're unsure of who you are and feeling helpless. This song will remind you that bad times will eventually pass, you just have to be patient.

4. "Growing Pains" by Alessia Cara

Most relatable lines: "Try to mend what's left of my content incomprehension, As I take on the stress of the mess that I've made"

This song by Alessia Cara especially hits home for millenials. In a time where you're stuck between your old self and the person you want to be, give this song a listen. From the lyrics you can definitely tell that Alessia has experienced this feeling. The lyrics and her distinctive voice make this song entirely relatable and sing out loud worthy.

5. "Everybody's Changing" by Keane

Most relatable lines: "Try to understand that I'm, Trying to make a move just to stay in the game, I try to stay awake and remember my name, But everybody's changing and I don't feel the same.

You may know Keane from their hit "Somewhere Only We Know" but "Everybody's Changing" is also amazing too. When you're feeling the same while everyone else around you seems to be changing their lives completely, give this song a listen to.

6. "In the Blood" by John Mayer

Most relatable lines: "And what about this feeling that I'm never good enough? Will it wash out in the water, or is it always in the blood?"

Ever feeling like you can't escape the shadow of your parents or that you won't find love? Then this song will hit home for you in so many ways. Not only can John Mayer write songs, but he is arguably one of the best guitar players of our generation (trust me, I've seen this man live and it was spectacular). This song will leave you haunted but with a realization that sometimes things are out of your control.

7. "Don't Look Back in Anger" by Oasis

Most relatable lines: "And so Sally can wait, she knows it's too late as we're walking on by
Her soul slides away, but don't look back in anger I heard you say"

Corny? A little. True? Also yes. This song has been a staple for hard times for years. But it's such a good reminder to focus on the good and ignore the bad. Staying angry and holding grudges isn't healthy and this song is perfect if you are walking away from a situation that didn't go as planned.

8. "7" by Catfish and the Bottlemen

Most relatable lines: "And I don't think through things
I never get time
'Cause I don't think things through"

You've probably never heard of Catfish and the Bottlemen before but if you look them up on Spotify you'll be listening to them for days. "7" is one of their most popular songs and for good reason. This song just "gets it". It's perfect for when you're feeling like the world is too much to handle and you want to stop having to make decisions.

9. "Ship to Wreck" by Florence and the Machine

Most relatable lines: "Did I drink too much?

Am I losing touch?

Did I build this ship to wreck?"

Ever feeling like you're too much for others to handle? Then this song is like listening to a musical diary. It's perfect for when you're feeling that you overwhelm others and for when that nagging voice in the back of your head just won't go away.

10. "I'm a Mess" by Ed Sheeran

Most relatable lines: "Oh I'm a mess right now
Inside out
Searching for a sweet surrender
But this is not the end"

The first four lines of this song are incredible. When you're searching for something more but can't find it, this song is for you. This is definitely not one of Ed Sheeran's more popular songs but it's perfect for when you're feeling helpless.

Today I started my third week of college at Minnesota State Moorhead. I have survived welcome week, finding my classes on the first day, and being an awkward loner in the dining hall. Even though I have yet to be here for a month, I have already experienced many thoughts and problems that only a new college student can relate to.

"Make sure to get involved when you're in college!"

We've all heard some variation of this phrase, whether it came from parents, other family members, friends, RAs, or college-related articles. And, like many clichés, it's true for the most part. Getting involved during your college years can help you make friends, build your resume, and feel connected to your campus. However, these commitments can get stressful if you're dealing with personal issues, need to work, or aren't sure how to balance classes and everything else going on during the semester.

In college, one of the essential things to have is friends. Yes, textbooks, a laptop, and other school supplies are important but friends are essential. Friends are that support system everybody needs. The more friends you have the better the support system you have. But you also have someone to share experiences with. And don’t settle for just one or two friends because 8 out of 10 times they are busy and you are studying all alone. Or they have other friend groups that do not include you. Don’t settle for just one or two friends; make as many friends as you can. After the first couple of weeks of college, most friend groups are set and you may be without friends.

Finals week is upon us. It is a magical time of year during which college students everywhere flock to the library in attempt to learn a semester's worth of knowledge in only a week. For some students, it's their first time in the library all semester, maybe ever. Others have slaved away many nights under the fluorescent lights, and are slightly annoyed to find their study space being invaded by amateurs. While these newbies wander aimlessly around the first floor, hopelessly trying to find a table, the OGs of the library are already on the third floor long tables deep into their studies.
