10 Fun Fall Activities

Fall is here and it's time to have some fun! Here are some ideas for you!

1. Go to a pumpkin patch

There's nothing quite like picking your own pumpkin! So, go to a pumpkin patch near you and search for the one you want to take home. At many patches, they have other activities set up for people of all ages to enjoy. Take advantage of this simple but fun trip for the whole family!

2. Make pie

There are so many options! Pumpkin, apple, chocolate, pecan, and so much more! If it's too cold to go outside or you need something to bring to a party, gather in the kitchen and bake! This can be a fun activity to do alone or with your friends and family!

3. Build a scarecrow

This less common activity can actually be super easy and fun! Plus, it provides you with a decoration to put in your yard or on your porch! Here is a link to a DIY scarecrow: http://www.diynetwork.com/how-to/make-and-decorate...

4. Eat candy

Fall means Halloween. And Halloween means CANDY! You don't have to wait for kids to go trick-or-treating to eat some, though. Go ahead and splurge a little (or a lot) and enjoy some candy for yourself! Although you might outgrow going door to door, you never outgrow going to the store!

5. Attend a football game

Some might refer to this season not as fall but as football season! A football game creates a fun environment for all! Get out and support your local and/or your favorite teams! Take a few hours to be loud, smile, and enjoy time with other fans just like you!

6. Carve pumpkins

When you get back from the pumpkin patch, there's only one thing left to do - carve the pumpkin you picked out! This is your chance to be creative! You can give your pumpkin a face, carve out your favorite logo or character, or anything else your heart desires! When you're done carving, stick a candle or light in it so that everyone can see your creation at night!

7. Make warm drinks

Hot chocolate, apple cider, pumpkin spice, and so much more! You don't have to go buy expensive cups of your favorite warm drinks. They are all easy to make at home! Here are some links to good recipes:

8. Watch scary movies

One of the best things about this season is the mood and market for scary movies. Different ones are released every year but it's also nice to go back and rewatch some oldies but goodies! Make sure you grab a friend... it can be extra scary alone.

9. Play in the leaves

You're never too old to rake up some leaves into a pile and then jump right into it and make a mess of your yard! Playing in leaves is one activity that will never become mundane. It's natures free entertainment!

10. Make your own Halloween costume

Another chance to get creative - make your own Halloween costume! You can go solo or grab a friend and come up with a fun idea together! There are cheaper ways to enjoy your dream costume, using some resources you already have. Don't be afraid to try something new as you brainstorm and create!

I went to a small high school, like 120-people-in-my-graduating-class small. It definitely had some good and some bad, and if you also went to a small high school, I’m sure you’ll relate to the things that I went through.

1. If something happens, everyone knows about it

Who hooked up with whom at the party? Yeah, heard about that an hour after it happened. You failed a test? Sorry, saw on Twitter last period. Facebook fight or, God forbid, real fight? It was on half the class’ Snapchat story half an hour ago. No matter what you do, someone will know about it.

Chandler Bing

I'm assuming that we've all heard of the hit 90's TV series, Friends, right? Who hasn't? Admittedly, I had pretty low expectations when I first started binge watching the show on Netflix, but I quickly became addicted.

Without a doubt, Chandler Bing is the most relatable character, and there isn't an episode where I don't find myself thinking, Yup, Iam definitely the Chandler of my friend group.

eye roll

Working with the public can be a job, in and of itself. Some people are just plain rude for no reason. But regardless of how your day is going, always having to be in the best of moods, or at least act like it... right?

1. When a customer wants to return a product, hands you the receipt, where is printed "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" in all caps.

2. Just because you might be having a bad day, and you're in a crappy mood, doesn't make it okay for you to yell at me or be rude to me. I'm a person with feelings, just like you.

3. People refusing to be put on hold when a customer is standing right in front of you. Oh, how I wish I could just hang up on you!

RBF, or resting b*tch face, is a serious condition that many people suffer from worldwide. Suffers are often bombarded with daily questions such as "Are you OK?" and "Why are you so mad?" If you have RBF, you've probably had numerous people tell you to "just smile!"

While this question trend can get annoying, there are a couple of pros to having RBF.

Yify

Another day, another Elle Woods comment. Can’t us blondes get through the day without someone harping at us over the typical stereotypes about who we are? I never understood why a person was judged based upon the hair color they were born with, or the hair color they choose to have (unless you dye your hair blue like Kylie Jenner, I’m still trying to understand why that’s a trend). Nevertheless, as it should be assumed, not everyone is the same. Not all blondes like bright colors and Lilly Pulitzer, and not all blondes claim to identify with Marilyn Monroe. I think the best suggestion to give to people before they make such radical claims is to stop judging a book by its cover. Or in this case, stop judging a blonde by her hair color.
