Helen Keller once said, “Do not think of today's failures, but of the success that may come tomorrow. Remember no effort that we make to attain something beautiful is ever lost. Sometime, somewhere, somehow we shall find that which we seek.” This quote tell us to not think of the failures of the past but of the success that will come. To know that whatever you try to get can never be taken away, and one day, you will find what one has been striving for is what give us strength to preserve. Perseverance is striving until success comes and going through all the difficulties to get there.
Perseverance applies to personal success as one of the key qualities in achieving what you want.
Part of Helen Keller’s quote above that states, “Do not think of today's failures, but of the success that may come tomorrow" holds true for everyone who thinks of giving up at the first failure, but this only means he or she will never see tomorrow’s success. You will just be making yourself feel worse and never feel happy that that you personally accomplished something. Perseverance also applies to personal success in this case because perseverance is trying to always strive for greatness.
The difficulties that come with success is another reason why this quote is perfect. As anyone would know, to achieve something, you must go through many difficulties in order for the result to be good. Whatever you take from your experience can never be taken away from you because they have worked hard to reach that level. Whether or not you have successfully found or achieve what you were looking for, I promise, you will feel a sense of positivity and success because you have found something close you may have not known you needed till then.
This applies to many of us, and I can vouch for it. Oftentimes, I repeat this quote to myself when it comes to school, where it becomes easy at times to just give up like I want to, but I really have to persevere so I don't fail everything because of one moment of weakness. Losing perseverance is normal, and while the loss of hope did make me question myself, just sticking through the tough times was enough to help me understand them and myself better later on. Hellen Keller's quote helps me feel a sense of accomplishment, even though I've gone through a lot of difficulties to get to maintain my consistency. But those difficulties are worth the result. Once I strive through those difficulties, I will find what I'm looking for at the end of the tunnel, and that is why I preserve.
