The impact you make can be a big impact or even a minor impact.

A Heart For Missions

Here I am, Send me! Five powerful words, that mean so much to me. Although theses words can mean anything depending on the person, but to me they're a simple reminder that I have given my life to God, and letting him send me to where ever he needs me.

Missions is about giving your heart and your will to serve others and feeling selfless. It may sound easy, but in all honesty missions can be challenging sometimes. It causes you to step out of your comfort zone to open up and be willing to serve.

Missions you can do service projects like painting a building, pouring concrete, or building tables. Service projects aren't the only way you can serve, you can even play with the kids at different sites, help cook food, or even pray for someone.

For a while I thought mission trips were out of the country trips but they can be in your hometown, different states, and countries. I've been to Baja California, Mexico three times now and a little of my heart is still there. Each kid I come across steals my heart and makes me want to take them with me (which you can't) even though you spend time with the kids and you create a special bond with them, it gives you a sense of peace knowing they're in a good place for them to grow.

I love doing service projects because knowing I'm making an impact by pouring concrete, painting benches, or playing with the kids. It gives me a peace of mind knowing I made my mark at the site, by simply painting a table or even playing with the kids.

Missions was never a passion of mine until my senior year of high school when I decided I wanted to make a difference. Missions is about helping others. Missions is about not caring about yourself. Missions is when you forget you're doing it so YOU can make a difference, but so YOU can make an impact.

Matthew 28:19 says "Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit" This verse has been one of those daily reminders that missions is always going to be part of my heart, even if I only serve on short-term missions, it still gives me that sense of helping and serving those who need it the most.

The impact you make can be a big impact or even a minor impact. You can do anything to help serve, it all makes a difference. Be the change you wanna see in the world!

Nothing is impossible, by having God on your side. Go out and be that light to someone new!

There are plenty of obstacles that come when taking care of kids, but it's a very rewarding experience.

As a college student, being a nanny over the summer is both enjoyable and challenging. Underneath the seemingly perfect trips to the pool or countless hours spent playing Monopoly are the obstacles that only nannies will understand. Trading in your valuable summer vacation in return for three months spent with a few children less than half your age may seem unappealing, but so many moments make it rewarding. For my fellow summer nannies out there, I know you can relate.

There are a lot of really easy, common names in the U.S. and while many of those simple names have different spellings, most of the time, pronunciation is not an issue that those people need to worry about. However, others are not as fortunate and often times give up on corrections after a while. We usually give an A+ for effort. So, as you could probably imagine, there are a few struggles with having a name that isn’t technically English. Here are just a few…

Daydreaming

day·dream (ˈdāˌdrēm/): a series of pleasant thoughts that distract one's attention from the present.

Daydreams, the savior of our life in class. Every type of student in the classroom does it at least once, but most cases it is an everyday event, especially in that boring class -- you know the one. But what are we thinking while we are daydreaming?

Puerto Ricans. They are very proud people and whether they were born on the island or born in the United States by Puerto Rican parent(s). It gets even better when they meet another fellow Puerto Rican or Latino in general. You’ll know quickly if they are Puerto Rican whether the flag is printed somewhere on their person or whether they tell you or whether the famous phrase “wepa!” is said.
