Spring Break is too close to count, and if you are going to a tropical destination you may be freaking out. The beach body that you may or may not have had in the summer is long gone. Between the holidays and the cold weather, it might need a little work to get back in shape. But warmer weather is on it's way. So, here are some helpful tips to eat and be a little healthier before spring break and the warmer weather hits.

1. Grab a bunch of friends

Friend and family support is very important, they will help you stick to your goals. Also, encourage them to be apart of their healthy habits. Push each other and keep on going.

2. Limit intake of sugary foods and drinks

Now it's a bad idea to completely go cold turkey on some of your guilty pleasures, but keep track of how much sugary foods and drinks you consume. Those high sugar foods might taste good, but they won't feel good after a workout.

3. Keep hydrated

This is probably the number one thing most people don't do, is drink enough water. Yes you might have to use the bathroom every 15 minutes, but drinking enough water will help with skin elasticity, memory functions, and body temperature control.

4. Eat fiber

Fiber generally has a stigma to it about how it makes you go to the bathroom, but just remember it is essential to keep a healthy body weight. But there are so many positives, it can lower cholesterol, controls blood sugar levels and it's in most natural foods, such as vegetables, fruits, and grains.

5. Never Grocery Shop when you are hungry

This is really dangerous and you will find yourself going down the aisles like the salty and sweet filled ones. Make a list of all the foods you need and grab them and go.

6. Start a workout routine

Humans like to have a routine, so develop one for your workout and stick to it. Eating healthy will keep your energy high and you will get to the gym on days where you didn't think you could after a stressful day at work/school.

Dear High School Friend Group,

My sweet angels, where would I be without you guys. We all grew up together because we either met in middle school or high school and watched each other grow up and get "old." We got to go to prom together and then graduate together. Then watched each other as we continued our lives in college, joining sororities and meeting people who will impact our lives forever. It all has happened so fast.

Oh college, we can’t live with you, but we can’t live without you. It’s a love/hate relationship, really. College is an experience that no one can ever prepare you for, and maybe that’s a good thing. You never really expect any of the things that college encompasses until you are there. College is fun, but don’t have too much fun. C’s get degrees, but they don’t get you into graduate school.

Blair Waldorf

The "Gossip Girl" series may be over, but Blair Waldorf's iconic character lives in our hearts forever. Blair was the queen of the Upper East Side, and a character you either loved or hated. She taught us everything we needed to know about life, love and of course, how to score a Chuck Bass. So the next time you feel a bit lost and are in need of guidance, look no further than to the Queen B herself.

As I spend my Sunday avoiding my homework and other adult responsibilities, I realized that I've watched this series over and over about a million times. Sadly, there isn't a Blair quote I don't know, so I came up with a list of a few favorites. You know you love her...xoxo

Summer: a time (usually) free from school work and a time to relax with your friends and family. Maybe you go on a vacation or maybe you work all summer, but the time off really does help. When you're in college you become super close with so many people it's hard to think that you won't see many of them for three months.
