3 Snacks To Bring With You While You Stay Inside All Day To Study For Finals

It's very tempting to load up on caffeine and sugar and all the other goodies that keep you awake and wired while you study. However, this may not be the best way to go about things.

With finals coming up, it's very tempting to load up on caffeine and sugar and all the other goodies that keep you awake and wired while you study. However, this may not be the best way to go about things. That stuff can help you in the moment but, in the long haul, healthy stuff is the way to go. Here are a few snacks that I like to have nearby when I'm hardcore studying.

1. Frozen fruit

Frozen fruit is an awesome snack because munching on something really cold is bound to give you a much-needed jolt, especially when you are tired. I prefer small fruits like blueberries and cherries because they are bite size and don't leave you with a large frozen hunk in your mouth. Just be careful not to eat too much fruit as you don't want your blood sugar to spike because you'll get that familiar sugar high, sleepy low feeling. That is definitely not helpful while you are trying to study.

2. Veggies

Veggies are another great snack because you mindlessly munch without feeling super full. It may be tempting to grab chips when you want to do this kind of munching but, at least for me, chips always make me feel really full and bloated (because of the high sodium no doubt). To make the veggies a little more exciting and to give you a study break, try roasting them in the oven or steaming them or however you like to best eat your veggies. Having a dip with them can be fun too. Hummus and peanut butter are great options as they give you some protein.

3. Water

Lastly, lemon water is another go to. It's not a snack per-say but it definitely gives you that needed boost and keeps you hydrated. If you want to get fancy, you can add other things to it like cucumbers, frozen fruit, stevia (if you want some 0 calorie sweetness), etc.

It is that time of year again. Christmastime. It is one of my favorite seasons for a myriad of reasons. Here are just a few reasons why I love Christmas. This list is in no order of importance.

1. The Christmas decorations

I am that person who will decorate directly after Thanksgiving is over. This year, my roommates and I put the tree up in our apartment before we even left for Thanksgiving break. It is a great stress reliever for me to just sit in my living room and work on the huge amount of work I have before the semester is over.

Mistakes are something we all make, no matter how old we get. Most of the time, the mistakes we made are little and sometimes due to something out of our control. Yet, there are mistakes that are bigger than others. Personally, I have mistakes that I wish I could go back and undo. Here they are:

5 Things To Do That Are Better Than Writing A Paper

Don't waste your time trying to write that paper when there are so many more interesting things you could be doing.

Writing a paper is never fun and is rarely rewarding. The writer's block, the page requirement, be specific, but don’t summarize, make sure you fixed any grammatical errors, did you even use spellcheck? and analyze, analyze, analyze.

Papers can be a major pain. They take up so much time and effort that by the end of the process you hate yourself and you hate the professor for making life so difficult. Questions of your existence start roaming in your mind. Am I even cut out for college if I can’t write a single paper? Am I even capable of taking care of myself if I lack the energy to open my laptop and start typing?
